Ok, some friends & I decided to take out our 4 doors for some autocrossing. Subaru WRX, Maxima, IS300, Q45 to name a few. I have Tokico blues, Eibach springs, solid/adjustable front & rear upper control arms & solid/adjustable tension rods. I put on my Yokohama AO32R tires. 255/40/17 fronts & 275/40/17 rears. The Q did very well. Turned in times that made many people come & inquire about the car. The pics are of my hotrod shod with the racing tires. Video is of me driving the Q with four, yes FOUR passengers in the Q with me. Even with the four passengers, I beat many guys who were in amazement. Needless to say I had a blast. Since this is my daily driver, I will only take it out autocrossing one more time. After I install my rear sway bar, front strut tower brace & 4.08 gearing.http://mark86t.q45.org/Q45/mark run feb 20th.wmv

damn....brings back some damn good memories of having lots of fun when I raced my Q back in 1999 when totally stock. Now with the mods it should be much funner to push around the track.

Congrats and thanks for the refreshed memory....

Those wheels look good on the Q. Do you prefer to autox your 300 instead?

Of course I prefer to autocross my Z. But I am in the middle of serious upgrades to my Z right now & have nothing else to race. When the Z comes out of the garage it will be mainly autocrossed & run on road courses as well. Not much daily driving with it. The Q is my daily driver & is fun, but it ain't no Z.

Looks like an excellent run, but it appears that you were going a little bit too fast on that first semi"straight" and had to slow it down alot to keep it between the cones . Otherwise it looks good

With the outstanding brakes on my Q I run deep into coerners (as much as possible) before braking. No use slowing down early. The corners were too tight to try to run without some braking. Eveyone had to brake where I did. Another video of my Q from outside the car is coming. That one will show the track better.

Okay, maybe it was just the angle of the camera, but I thought you had stuck your nose right between two of the cones and then had to bring it back in before hitting one of them.

Thank you thank you. The interior is even nicer than the exterior.

Nope. The wheels I raced the Q with are from my 95 TT that I sold. These are my race wheels/tires and will be used on my 86 turbo when I finish working on it. I also have some killer (new) wheels for my 86 turbo which fit the Q. 18x8/front & 18x10/rear. They just don't look right on a luxury car though. All these wheels I own fit the Q & a Z32.

Not yet, it's been raining for days (yes in Vegas we have rain lol) & my lil bro won't take his TT out in the rain. Hopefully by this weekend. I didn't forget about you Wes.

I run 40 front & 38 psi rear for daily commuting. At the track I ran 35 psi front & 32 psi rear.

Very entertaining! Great looking car! I wonder how fast you could have gotten with no passengers
