hithis's foreign boy jay again i had very bad dashboard, so i got "like new" dash board for 18 dollar.(Some people buy dashboard for like.. 150 bucks include shipping from ebay..... don't buy it from ebay..... search around your local junk yard. sometime, internet never saves up your money --

anyway, it was a pain in the aXX to take the dash out. there's a perfect angle when i had to take the dash, i took my dash though passenger side door. But it wasn't that hard. i'm only 18, i did it without a manual book, it's like a big Tamiya toy. all you need is... 10mm socket, 12mm, + screw driver, - screw driver.

Yeah changing dashes are a PITA. My friend and I have experience with FC dashes. Those are definately a two man job. Sweet score with the dash too...18 bucks, you can't beat that.

Good luck on that one, I HIGHLY doubt you'll find an S14 dash in a junk yard. I've realized this, and always put up my dash shield and try to protect it with sprays because I want to try to keep mine in good condition because I know finding another will be a PITA.

it took 1 hour to take the dash out, 30 minute to put it back.take out part in blue and red circles. blue part adjusts the heigh of steering wheel, take it out at very first time. then take the red circle part(lights and signal). you don't even need to care about the "perfect angle thing" once you take those two parts. it will make you job 100000000 times easiler

Yeah PA seems hard up for 240's too. Only ever seen one at a yard on PA/MD border(S13). Two in central pa didn't have any... not even any Z's. <sigh> I hope NM has some good junkyards...moving there soon...

Anyways, congrats on the dash swap... Mine's cracked above the gauge cluster, but there are more pertinent things to fix up first for me.

sanoill: how is that the longest way to take the dash out? I thought through the passenger door was the only/easiest way out.

sikS13sr: toss me an email, I'm interested in finding out where these junkyards are.

long way? i think it's mush easier than take the dash front way(it's possible when you take the steering wheel, but takes longer) though passanger door is the fast way, i tooked the dash 3 times but though the passenger door was fastest
