cant get into 5th gear and all other gears are harder to get into

i have a 1990 240sx 5spd w/ 160k new clutch. i cant get into 5th gear and all my other gears are harder to get into and grind sometimes. yes i have the clutch allthe way down and i have driven a stick for a while it jsut started giving me problems do u guys have any ideas?

could be your clutch pedal is misadjusted or something like that. My friend test drove a 240 the other day where you had to push the clutch down to 2-3" off the floor to shift. If you pushed it in all the way it wouldn't go.

thanks but pedal all the way to the floor and nothing could i have bent a shift bar

Does it seem to go into gears OK when the engine is off?

If yes, then you probably do have a problem with the clutch not fully disengaging the engine from the transmission. This would probably be a hydraulic problem, but may be at least temp fixable by adjusting the clutch pedal.

I had a somewhat similar problem that I ended up fixing by replacing the slave-cylinder hose with a steel-braided hose. Apparently the older hose was expanding or something just enough under pressure to keep the clutch from fully disengaging, even when the pedal was fully depressed.
