Post Title: 1986 ae86 corolla Cheap is it worth it

My buddy found me a 86 corolla sr5 for $300. It runs and drives, and rust is minimal even on subframe and unibody.Worth it, i sure as hell would think so. I'm trading a 05 hemi cherokee in plus a (88 chevy on cash for clunkers=$3500 to $4500 credit). Getting a srt4 caliber for the new vehicle. Toyota replaces the ttruck for a work vehicle. I live about 3/4 miles from work.Anyone have any opinions on either of the newfound vehicles.

Don't like cavaliers, no matter what name, or form. The SS is almost 30hp less ,and i don't want a trunk. The srt4 wins in my budget. When i test drive ,and i like it ,then i'll sign some papers. I am trading in a jeep ,to the same stealership ,and will get 14k instead of 12k ,like two gm and one ford dealership has offered.

A GT-S swap is NOT expensive. I did it for 300 dollars, the price of the engine, transmission, and fuel tank. It did, however, take me more than two months to get it running right...it was my first real car work ever.

Question about your sub box:

How did you calculate the tuning frequency of a varying sized port?

That car is the sex. But RB is right. Its more than just an engine swap. A whole lot of money is involved. Even different gas tanks have to be put in to make it a full conversion.
