Post Title: Need help with starter?
Posted by: maxstillen at 5:46 PM 7/2/2009

I was wondering if anyone knows how to take the starter out of a 2001 pathfinder? I've tried and it just gets stuck between the exhaust manifold and the axle and the space is real tight so I couldn't even get the starter out of the car. I called the dealership and they told me that what they do is lift the engine up a bit to give clearance and then they just pull out the starter from there. I was like what? This car is gonna be an a** to mess with.

So long story short, does anyone know an easier way to take out the starter without having to go thru so much hassle? If so please let me know. Theres so much problems with these SUVs I'm thinking about getting rid of it after I get this thing up and running again. Thanks in advance.
