Post Title: "Skyline Crossover" Badging
Posted by: BROUDIE at 12:04 PM 6/25/2009

I once saw a G37 coupe with JDM "Skyline" badging, which I think is awesome. I'm wondering when the "Skyline Crossover" badging for our EX will become available?

I was thinking about swapping all the badges when they become available to make it a bit more JDM. But then I asked myself do I really want to down-grade it to a Nissan? But I guess it is ok as I've seen Acura RSX owner swapping out their badges into a Honda Integra.

I guess those badges will become available once the car is fully launched and become more popular in Japan.

Er, Integra is Acura (not Honda).

I was just thinking of swapping out the chrome trim around the rear license plate (the one that says INFINITI), to the JDM chrome plate that says "SKYLINE"

Was not planning on swapping in the NISSAN logo

Ok....here goes

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Integra

Acura Integra (N.America) = Honda Integra (Asia/Euro)
Acura RSX (N.America) = Honda Integra (Asia/Euro)

Calling all JDM fan here for support

Going back to the badging I prefer swapping everything (if I am doing it). Including the rear "Infiniti", EX35, crome piece around the license plate, front grill with the "Nissan". Plus if you really want all JDM then have to intergrate the side markers and wheel center caps too. But first I have to see how much they are. OEM badgings are not cheap

IMO I think stepping from Infiniti -> Nissan is a bigger 'downgrade' than stepping from Acura -> Honda.... I don't know, just my feeling towards Infiniti gives a higher luxury brand than Acura :p

I would be careful with the "370GT" badging though, our engine is not their 3.7L, 325hp VQ37VHR engine. So you should consider the "350GT" from the earlier versions of the Skyline.

The blackout headlights does look really nice though, definitely consider painting them black if trying to follow the JDM appearance

And of course... the infamous JDM side-marker signal light on the front fender for the finishing touches

Why not go with Type-R?

Sorry, man - my bad. Brain fart - I completely lost the JDM context and was only thinking N. America.

I don't get it the downgrade. Is it because you want to make people think you have less monthly payments than us?
