First of all, before buying a charging adapter. Just make sure that yours won't charge by plugging it into the cable. If it won't charge, it should say on the Ipod device screen that "This Device isn't supported for charging" or something to that effect.
I say this because if you use the following device with an Ipod device that will charge, it will probably be fried!
I found a Charging Adapter for IPOD/IPhone/Itouch at Target today, it is $29.99. It is in the automotive department and is made by Scosche.
Here is a picture of it in the package...
It is smaller than it looks in the picture. Around the size of a small box of matches.

I really don't know for sure. Since it basically changes the pinout for the cable, I would assume that it could.
