Post Title: Saw my first CUBE yesterday.
Posted by: Reverend D at 7:12 AM 5/29/2009

Gray CUBE registered with NY plates heading north on I590 N in Rochester, NY. Looks odd from behind. I wasn't able to get ahead of it due to bad drivers all around. I did not know they had become available yet.

I saw three or four in the Nissan dealership at Carlisle (not to mention a GTR in the showroom). They look interesting. Might go test drive one when I get bored.

I saw my first as well.

Bleh, I'm not a fan of those. They're definitely different though, can't deny that.

I much prefer the new Kia Soul.

I liked the cube from jdm land then it became all ghey when they decided to send it over here.

The Cubes, Elements, and the Kia Souls can go burn in f***ing hell.

If I ever meet the designers for those vehicles, I swear I'll shoot them in the face. Worst f***ing vehicles ever.

It's not a f***in vehicle man.

I wouldn't mind if it had power, but 122hp out of a 1.8L? Come on, throw VVL in there and boost it to atleast 185.

Never knew Nissan would sink this low.

Post Title:
Posted by: EpicNightMayor at 10:25 AM 5/29/2009

I actually was completely against it from the pictures I've seen of it. But as soon as I saw it at the dealership (it was white with steelies), i fell in love with it.

It's a f***ing economical vehicle, not f***ing Steve McQueen's dragster.
Don't turn this into that thread. Swap it with a f***ing K20 if you want good fwd power.

Or RWD convert like I want to.

Post Title:
Posted by: asoomal at 10:30 AM 5/29/2009

Still.....122hp is brutal. Hell it might even get better mileage if it did have a little bit more power. Less energy needed to move it.

Yeah, you want more power? You've got plenty in your stock sickfast 240.
How much more power could you want?

Post Title:
Posted by: asoomal at 10:36 AM 5/29/2009

lol my 240 isn't fast...

I was saying, 122 seems kinda low for 1.8L. They could have atleast designed it with a variable valve timing system. You'd probably get decent mileage too.

This is eventually going to be an electric vehicle. One's already been made for the government. Think of it as Nissan's smartCar or Nissan's geoMetro.

140 and 155 seems kinda low for a 2.4L. Our KA's suck stock.

^smart cars suck, they arent meant to get good gas mileage just be small to fit in europe's tiny a** streets/ parking spots. They are useless in the US

In this economy people aren't searching for horsepower. They're looking for gas mileage and reliability. Horsepower can always be changed if need be. Mileage always stall around the same mpg's unless you do some ridiculous mod.
People have no time or money to look at who's economical vehicle is faster.
I'm sure it gets up and goes when it needs to. Not as fast as other cars, but oh well.

That is because the KA is a truck motor.....more torque orientated...

I'm sorry.
You're very wrong with your previous attempt at a somewhat intelligent statement.

form coherent argument. research your argument. if incorrect, form new argument. otherwise, state your argument and not look uninformed.

I wonder how the Cube handles, it does have VDC. My coworker bought one, I would rock one as a second car....it's real roomy, especially the back seats

...the Cube comes in a 6 speed standard

Im not a fan. Tho I haven't seen it in person yet. Our lots don't have it yet.

I do think the Kia Soul is a neat little design for a car. I wouldn't mind it.

I saw a normal Cube and a Cube Krom at NYIAS. I like all the little details.

It was actually that exact car.

I would drive it.

They've actually been selling pretty well for us at the dealership. After seeing them in person / driving one I don't think they're that bad.
