Post Title: Tachometer question...

I have an 89 d21 4wd. My cluster has a tach. It did work when I first got it but the tach no longer works although the clock works that is right below it. I have torn that thing apart a million times cleaned it..check the circuit board...no capacitors are bulged...any ideas?
