I'm French and just arrived (in florida) so don't know every law here...
I need advice because I would like to import a S15 LHD RB25 with stock engine, but I don't know if it's possible to drive here with this ?
Thank you.
Laurent

| cops are not very smart in France but here... |
you say you want an s15 with an rb25 but you want to import it... an s15 does not have an rb25 in it unless someone swaps it... they come with sr20s so if you're wanting an s chassis with an rb25 get a 240sx and do the swap... if you want an s15 get the clip... also, if you import it, it won't be LHD...
the sr20 and rb25 are, neither one, street legal... this only matters if your state does constant inspections... ohio does an inspection once your car first gets titled or if you buy it from out of state.. other than that, they don't do it. I'm not sure about Florida, but I'm sure if you check the South East Regiona forum, you'll most likely find info on it -> http://forums.nicoclub.com/zeroforum?id=154 Besides, you could always just make friends with someone who does inspections and give them a little bit of $$ and they'd write your car off.. either way, best of luck and welcome to NICO

About S15 I confirm you I want a RB25 with LHD (may be convertible with Hard top but it's very rare) both swap in Taiwan.
An exemple :

my last car in France (S14.5, SR22DET Tomei)...
So I know a lot of things about theses cars but about american laws... I will try to ask for somebody to help me about this inspection.
In your last post I understood to buy a title of a 240sx braken (In France we do that) it's not legal but less problem...and the cop don't see the difference...^^

best just to do another S14.5 as it will be LHD and not imported and will be just like your other car, except it will not be an SR motor.
