go back to autozone, the obd II scanner they used on the parking lot also has a function to reset the ecu/ clear the codes
then see if the codes come back a day or more later to confirm something's up...
reason: my brother put an aftermarket locking gas cap on a different manufacturer vehicle... it wasn't sealing & triggered a check engine light as well as a code.
I told him to put original gas cap on; clear codes from "borrowing" the obdII scanner from autozone, and codes never came back :P

download the ec section and there's an underhood diagram
you'll have an EVAP service port w/ a small cap colored green by the brake fluid resevoir... follow the hose down to the canister?!?!

at least you know there's a free FSM for nissans on this site!
+1 for resetting the ECU and the light cleared; sometimes the system hiccups like that for some reason
