Post Title: Maxima VS..... Posted by:DevonD at 9:19 PM 9/2/2008 This has nothing to do with anything! But I don't know who else will listen to me and not tell me to shut up about my car already. But the other night I was on my way to a friends bachelor party when another guy who was also on his way to the same party pulled up beside me in his new Mazda RX-8. I was praying a light would turn red and my prayers were answered! As soon as we both stopped we started talking and he said don't even try Devon! Your driving a 4 door sedan! I said no... Look at the Decal... This is a 4 Door Sports Car! He laughed and said " This is going to be funny". The light turned green and I didn't even launch it hard, only like 2000 RPM. Now I don't know if any of you have ever raced an RX-8, but I wrecked that Mazda! Im not exaggerating either at LEAST 1 1/2 car lenghts all the way up to 85. Which is when I stopped. further down the road the same thing happened! Anyway I just thought it was funny that what is my $5000 maxima took on a new $40 000 RX-8 with ease!
Just another trophy to throw on the pedestal! I will try and think of all the Cars the Maxima has dominated.. lets see here.. New RX-8, Mazda protege speed (turbo), turbo Civic coupe, Honda prelude SI, VW jetta (TDI and 1.8 Turbo), Sentra SER, 96 Toyota supra non turbo, 2002 Toyota celica, 1989 Nissan 300ZX turbo (not twin turbo, 1998 and 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Grand Am's and Prix's all over the place, BMW 318/328 I's. one 330CI got away.. And that all I can think of right now!
I could keep going and say how great these cars are but anyone one this site and reading this already knows what im going on about! haha Im sure a few of you guys have had little races with shocking outcomes! so lets here em!

$40k?! I think not. Even fully loaded RX-8s barely cross the $30k line.

the other day at the track i kick a spec-V sentra and a 20th anniversary GTI a** and my times were crap.

And the same guy with the RX-8 actually has an 97 GLE Auto. off the line the manual pulls a bit but a rolling start its pretty even.

You guys must have some weak Grand Prix's up there. My buddy always dusted me in his. Now that is unless we were on the interstate. Then I would take him with ease due to the fact that his car is governed at 105 mph. Anyways, congrats. Now stop street racing and take it to the track.
Post Title: Re: Maxima VS..... (jltibbs) Posted by:DevonD at 11:30 PM 9/6/2008 Dont worry. Its almost always at the track. And if its not at the track its just more of a see who can reach the speed limit fastest.
but what grand prix does your friend drive? the only ones that have been faster are the GTP's. I have taken the regular grand prix's in a murano?
