New (For me) Qx4 - Some questions

Hi

I just bought a 1998 Qx4 - nice upgrade from a 98 318i. I'm a big guy, needed the bigger car. Im a broke med school student with hopes of turning it into a sweet car with no money. I have some questions for all you professionals though and I would really appreciate the help.

In the first week I had the car, someone broke into my car; smashed in my drivers side window. I was able to find a replacement window of a pathy and replace it for pretty cheap, but now I have a crack in the windshield. How hard are those to replace/ are they expensive to get done professionally?

Also, my car is currently completely stock. I would like a custom sub enclosure, but cant afford neither the work nor the system. However, my sound system is messed up as it is. I am not hearing any sound from the rear speakers, and the passenger side rear speaker makes a flatulent noise when music is playing or when any operation is the car is executed that takes power. I am guessing that the speaker is definitely blown, and the amp may need replacement too? I am reluctant to completely swap out the bose system for another system - I dont have the money to afford a nice system. If the problem is just in the rear speakers, could i just switch those two, or maybe just the four door speakers for aftermarket speakers and still get a good loud sound?

Furhtermore, entering the car can only be done through the keyless entry. When the car is locked and I try to use the key to enter the door, the alarm goes off and I cant for the life of me figure out why.. any ideas?

Lastly, my wheels are pitting and it is constantly letting air out of my tires. I have to fill em every few days or so. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know where I can find a nice cheap aftermarket set of wheels? I've been religiously checking craigslist and have found alot of nice wheel and tire packages for around 500-600, but none have the same lug pattern. Also, if anyone is selling a nice set of wheels with tires, we could arrange something for that too?

congrats on the upgrade youll love it as for the stereo - upgrades arent cheap since you have to bypass the stock bose amp to install any aftermarket speakers i still have my stock bose speakers, in decent condition, ill give them to u free if u pay shipping I personally replaced every element of the stereo and ive never looked back

windshield - my girlfriend just paid 150 for her honda accord, but ours has a stripe down the middle (i forgot if its radio or temp) so it might cost more door lock - our key has a chip in it, and the door lock is supposed to register that. So if the same key works in the ignition no problem, i'd suspect something wrong inside the door lock mechanism having to do wit the chip

for the wheels all you have to do is get them cleaned, meaning tire off the rim and cleaned around where the tire sits on the rim

yup our windshield has a radio antenna in it, I got mine replaced for ~200 glass and labor

I actually got it done for cheaper but its my buddy who owns his own winshield business and I got him 3 cars to do together at once

but you might be able to use the same concept if you call up a glass guy... with gas prces the way they are now it might save you some bucks

hey on your door lock problem, is it just one door that does this (and the other are fine), or is it both doors and the hatch?
