akliquid...could you please send me the link of where you got those...? I've spent close to $50 on trial and error buying the Ba9s bulbs...only one set has worked. I was told there was/is a polarity issue and that's why all of the LEDs I've gotten do not work. Do you have an 08...?akliquid wrote:I got some LED's from AUTOLUMINATION. The interior lights are Ba9s. I actually put a 25 SMT LED plate. Here's a link:

They have white also. I also put super white LED in the license. Looks nice. I'll tell you the easy install if you want to get the plates, but they are super bright. I got blue cuz my car is blue, but they have all different ones to suit individual's preference. But again. just look for the ones that are Ba9s.

They are BA9s bulbs...NOT the screw in bulbs. In other words, they are the ones with the "two pointy posts"xxNite wrote:I follow you on the fact that they are the BA9s variety, but do you remember if they are screw-ins or did they have two pointy posts?
I agree the SMT variety are GREAT. anything else is usesless and directional is a must.
what is the light in between the two front two map lights that illuminates down towards the gearshift? it is the one that adds subtle light so you can see near the cupholders, a little?
The reason why probably none of the other bulbs you've tried works is because the polarity of the leds are reversed. I've changed out my map lights with these:Hoshtaylor wrote:yeah so I just received the bulbs and they don't work. I've only found 1 kind of LED bulb that works in this spot and they are hardly bright at all. I don't understand why none of these BA9s bulbs aren't working.
Has anyone changed out their map bulbs to LED's on an 08...???

Any chance you could describe this a little better or maybe have a pic of what it is I need to do...?
and I just reversed the little white connector between the actual led board and bulb adapter and it worked fine and they are extremely bright.
Hope that helps.
That is too bright.xxNite wrote:I installed license plate LED bulbs and WOW they look darn good! This is a link to where I got them from:

I was a little worried about fit at first, but had to try them cause they have 5 LEDS pointing in all directions. They fit and they look like this:

definitely worth the $10
Hey AKLIQUID. In your photo album, what did you use to replace the factory H3 fog lights? they look b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! I am assuming you went with an aftermarket H3 HID retrofit kit, right? which one & how much? I neeeeeedz that!
