Post Title: NEW: 2007 Sentra Catback - Ready to order!!!
Posted by: AZhitman at 12:07 AM 9/23/2007

BRM (www.brmexhaust.com) has been building B15, S13 and S14 catbacks for over 5 years, with over 350 units sold.

Now, we've just applied the same level of quality and style to the 2007 Sentra, and the result is awesome.

Some sound clips, thanks to "Alex" at the MySpecV forums:

soundclips? what's the weight and gains? is this a spec-v application or 2.0?

Post Title:
Posted by: AZhitman at 2:25 PM 9/24/2007

No soundclips yet, but I'll drop a fat discount on the first person to load one up!

Weight is approx 37 lbs, and prior BRM Spec V (B15) 2.5" systems dynoed out at 10-15 hp.

Pricing:

2.5" Aluminized = $400
2.5" Stainless = $500

3.0" Aluminized = $420
3.0" Stainless = $520

Resonator is included in the above pricing, as it's the "heart" of the system and gives it the distinctive, deep mellow tone that BRM is known for.

Shipping is $45 anywhere in the 48 states.

Somebody needs to jump on that deal.

Posted by: jbarbaresi at 6:28 AM 9/25/2007

anyone know the weight of the stock spec v exhaust on the '07? i would be pretty impressed if it produced 10-15 hp, that seems a little on the high end for a cat back by itself. price is more than reasonable. i'm definitely interested but i'd like to hear a sound clip and see the dynoes when they are available so make sure to get them on here!

Post Title:
Posted by: MajorMods at 11:55 AM 9/28/2007

With my 2.5" catback and UR pulley i got 186whp on the dyno.

u should make a midpipe to match up to the header. The b15 header works PERFECTLY with the B16 header, just need to add 2 o2 bungs to it for our 4 o2 sensors.

Posted by: nissantech06 at 1:37 PM 9/29/2007

I HATE how many bends the '07 exhaust has in it. I was looking under my car at work the other day and it seems pretty ridiculous to weave it around as much as Nissan (or Renault, whoever actually designed the car) did. I am almost certain the Spec V and regular Sentra exhausts are identical, the only issue you would run into is having 2.5" piping on a 2.0L. The diameter is too large and you'd lose a ton of back-pressure and torque. 2.25" is theoretically the best diameter.

this is the same as the vrs exhaust

i know they are both made with magnaflow mufflers/resonators, but the one video clip i heard of the vrs sounded completely different than the brm, but i haven't found any more good videos of the vrs to compare against. got any?

Weight is approx 37 lbs, and prior BRM Spec V (B15) 2.5" systems dynoed out at 10-15 hp.

This was built for a Spec V. I'm not sure what the exhaust system differences are, someone who knows the 2.0 Sentra would have to compare them to see.

Pricing:

2.5" Aluminized = $360
2.5" Stainless = $460
3.0" Aluminized = $420
3.0" Stainless = $520

Resonator added to any system is $70 and highly recommended, as it's the "heart" of the system and gives it the distinctive, deep mellow tone that BRM is known for.

Shipping is $45 anywhere in the 48 states.

here are all the list prices, pick what you want and add it up. i think the system pictured above is the aluminized piping but greg would have to confirm that. i believe i have ordered the first one, which has gotten lost by UPS during shipping. currently trying to sort it out but i'll be sure to post videos when i get it.

Well the exhaust finally got here last night and I JUST finished installing it. Took a quick teaser video just to get the sound on here. I think it sounds pretty good on the video but even 10 times better in person. I don't know why the camera mic is picking up that sound during backpressure, you can't hear that in person, anyone know what it is? I have to say I absolutely love the way this exhaust sounds on my car, both from inside and from outside. I took it out for a quick spin and it's not obnoxious at all, on the highways you don't even hear it unless accelerating and under normal city driving it makes your car sound "authoritative" but not ricer in the least. i'll get a video under load and a drive by, as well as interior clip this weekend or whenever the weather clears up a bit. On my youtube profile i have some stock video clips for comparison if you're interested. please feel free to comment. Enjoy!

This is a sweet setup for the B16, and we're the ONLY company other than Stillen producing a catback for this car!

Guys,

I'm new to the art of Car Modz, but I'm wondering if 07 Sentra catback in this post would work on a 2.0S?

Post Title:

It's either the same or Greg has figured out the differences.

Email him at greg@nicoclub.com and he can answer all your BRM questions.

Not exactly the right thread, but no matter.

Check the Table of Contents linked in my sig. There's a B16 Parts List thread in there that should help you out.

Of course, for exhaust contact Greg (greg@nicoclub.com) and he'll build one of these.

Welcome to NICO!

Anytime you free up flow and reduce backpressure, there's a corresponding increase in fuel economy. However, we haven't measured "before and after".

Great question!

How long does the shipping usually take, i was looking at getting the stillen catback, only because my ser was rear ended and looks to need the exhaust replaced. the insurance Will pay for stock which is over 500$ so i figured i could save some money and get performance by getting aftermarket. Its my wife's car so i don't want a loud exhaust, an im having troubles viewing the utubes. I know stillen for my Z is real soft, not like my apexi. int know if this was the same way.

P.S. Im very new to the sentra SER and the motor, don't know anything about them, but the Z an the VQ i know. Im sorry if i sound so green with this sentra stuff

This one's pretty quiet, but any performance exhaust will be louder than stock.

Delivery is roughly 8 days after ordering.

I know this is an old thread but here's my comments

Most companies measure all power gains at the flywheel....10-15flywheel hp would roughly be 5-7WHP. and for a NA b15, thats still stretching the truth, on a FI b15 very possible, hell 10-15 is possible on FI depending on their setup. b16's though do have the higher CR difference though which will net them much more gains than a b15....but with an exhaust you should mainly go for sound over looks

You can get the same thing at any performance shop for way less. Just tell them you want a custom made exhaust an you can choose what you want borla magnaflow whatever. im gonna have mine done with magnaflow though. full cat back for around 250 lot better than 400 an it would be the samething. Just a little info for some who might not know.

Good luck getting a Magnaflow resonator, stainless Magnaflow muffler, tips, custom mandrel-bent piping, billet flanges, gaskets, hardware, and roughly 5 hours labor for $250.

The parts alone cost that much.
