2 are on 35's with dana 44's under the frame.
The other rides on 33's ( He had some garage restrictions so that was his max.
We have a Bob-tailed Hardbody that is going in for it's SAS conversion to 3/4 ton high-pinion dana 44's and his plan is for 38" Iroks on an 8 bolt Hummer wheel he picked up for cheap. Should be done in May/June sometime so I wll post when that one is done.
the truck is already wild with it's full exo - cage and rear deck.

now, why am I here?
I'm convinced that my XTerra is just right.
The only thing I've done so far is put a K&N stock style filter on it, ONLY used synthetic oil (it needs to run forever - easy for a Nissan) oh yeah, and drive it like I stole it everyday. @ 40,000 miles it's just waking up to the fact that it's a Nissan and will run for 200k+ more...
pictures? well, none yet, but hey, pull up a stock picture of a silver (ice) 03 XTerra with a roof rack and side step (not too common on the base models) and you've got my Xterra. Kind of reminds me of my 86 Sentra, which is why reason for liking Nissans - discovering that they don't die.
Yes, it looks like most every other one out there, I'm cool with that, I just want it to GO like no other!!!

Check out my Nissan offroad club:
http://www.NOAS4xclub.com
we have 3-4 runs a year and about 6-7 members from FL that come to them.
We have our annual members only run at Riverrock ORV in Miledgeville GA in April and already have a confirmed showing of 29 trucks....
My buddy is going through an engine rebuild on his KA in his hardbody in the next few months. He plans on doing the upper end for now and leaving the bottom stock....he's a nissan master mechanic, so I guess he can do whatever he wants...

NICE! I'd be interested in finding out what your friend does to his and any relatively cheap mods I can do for now, that won't void the warrantee.
Going to wait until either the vehicle is paid off or the warrantee is expired before going too nuts. Right now it's my main transport. VERY reliable of course.
and yes that is one bad *** truck.

I finally got around to formatting this image so it can fit it here. Destination Xterra no longer exists so there is no issue with posting this now. My local photo studio took the picture with an 8MP camera and did all the corner images in photoshop. Then I had a 24x48 inch photograph printed up for my garage. The center image is the real thing by the way.

It's built in China only and today I went back the site and looked at the 2007 model. They have some nice styling cues. Notice the fenders and quarter panels are very similar to the Frontier?. Look at the bumper and those cool driving lights. Even the interior is a bit different.

And it has been in the Dakar Rally since they started building them.

on the rumour mill?I've got a pretty rare D21, or so people tell me. It's a 5 speed, power everything, factory sunroof, alloys, liner, and a whole buncha other stock stuff. It's fully stock, except for a new stereo and rear speakers, but I like my cars with all the buttons.
It's an SE model, and I'll have pics up later. The only thing we never could figure out was the paint color. I'm the second owner, and when we got the title from the first owner, it said Color:Unknown. It's kinda tan, with brown striping; but it looks gray at times when you see it. I don't know; it's weird.
I was beggin my parents for a 240 for a long time, but I got the D21, so I'm here to make lemonade as they say. I'm lookin for ways to maybe make my truck more attractive.

I bought the truck new. 2006 Nismo Frontier. 2WD with the standard Nismo features. No engine mods...yet. I am a bit conservative when it comes to the mods, it will be simple changes like dual exhaust and an intake. Maybe after that some suspension work. It tows the boat (20ft fourwinns 200 horizon) with little trouble, as long as the trailer has brakes.
I put a cap on the bed and the truck has a DVD player and screen. I am thinking that I will be creating the Tow/Travel type of truck. More of a urban street vehical with more purpose then taking the kids to school or a ball game.

Hope you're all ready for a short novel.
Wife and I made the decision to get a truck a while back. A big truck. A really, really big truck. Something with lots of interior room, 4x4, ample bed space, and a factory tow package giving enough towing capacity to make others jealous.
We were looking to take advantage of the model year end discounts and all the extra rebates and whatnot on a brand new '08. After test driving numerous trucks, we narrowed it down to the Dodge 1500 Big Horn Edition (had to settle for the Quad Cab, as all the Mega Cabs were already gobbled up) and the Nissan Titan SE (no worries about the Crew Cab, as it's seemingly just as large as the Mega Cab).
We drove the Ford and Chevy Crew Cabs, but were disappointed more than we thought we'd be. Poor wife was a Ford girl since that's all her parents had, and I'm rather glad she was completely let down by the big blue oval (loose door handles, center console trays that you could jiggle back and forth, the list of laughs go on and on.. and the $37K truck we drove had 28 miles on it...sad), as I really didn't want a Ford. The Chevy was nice, but the interior just seemed..... rather dated. The ride was too "squishy", for lack of a better term.
Our frustrations mounted when the local dealers were trying to stick us with a $500+/mo payment for 72 months. We'd have ended up paying over $36,000 after the loan term. No thanks and have a nice day.
That, and our preferred Nissan dealer went back on their word. They told us we could get an SE CC 4x4 (Timberline w/Almond bench seats, Popular Package, Tow Kit, High Utility Bed Package, Moonroof, and Floor Mats that'd been sitting at another dealer for a full year now... it's MSRP was $36,785) for wholesale pricing of $25,000 before trade-in rollover, taxes, title, licensing, etc etc. We come back 2 days later to finalize the numbers, and all of a sudden it's $28,025, we'd have to roll over $3,000 more from the trade in, plus everything else factored in for somewhere between $489-509/month for 72 months. That was about $60+ more per month than we were figuring since they were trying to stick us with the disgustingly high APR of around 10%. No love, especially since this would have been our 3rd brand new Nissan from them.
So, after another scour of Autotrader, I found what follows in St Louis, MO. Made the call, had them put a hold on it, and we hightailed it down there this past Monday evening to make the deal Tuesday morning.
2007 Nissan Titan Crew Cab 4x4 SE
* 5.6L V8 317HP 385 ft-lbs
* 5 Speed Automatic
* ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist
* Factory Tow Package
o Class IV Rear Hitch
o 7-Pin Wiring Harness and Trailer Brake Controller Wiring
o Front Tow Hooks
o Reverse Sonar Backup System
o Extendable, Heated, Power Side View Mirrors with Separate Blind Spot Mirrors
o Selectable Transmission Tow Mode
o Transmission Oil Temp Gauge
o 9,100 lbs Towing Capacity
* High Utility Bed Package
o Factory Spray On Bedliner
o Utili-Track Sliding Tie Down System
o Driver’s Side Rear Bed Storage Lockbox
o Cargo Bed Illumination
* Preferred Package (and other options not included in the package)
o Auto Dim Rear View Mirror
o Digital Compass and Temperature Gauge
o Homelink Universal Remote Transmitter
o Power Adjustable Pedals
o Extended Overhead Storage Compartment
o Front Heated Leather Captains Chair Buckets w/Power Drivers Seat and Adjustable Lumbar Support
o Rear Leather Fold Up/Down 60/40 Split Bench
o Rear Seat Power Plug and HVAC Vents
o Power Vertical Sliding Rear Window w/Defroster
o 6 Front/4 Rear Cupholders
o Under Seat Storage Bin
o 6 Disc In-Dash MP3 CD Changer with Rear Audio Controls and Wired and Wireless Headphone Ports
o 8 Speakers
o Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel w/Integrated Audio and Cruise Control Buttons
16,300 miles when we picked it up.
Got it for under the wholesale price of the '08 Timberline OTD (included the trade in roll over, all taxes, title, licensing, etc, plus the Nissan Certified Used and 7/100 WRAP warranty plus GAP). Even came in under our expected payment range and less than the Altima we traded in.

Newbie here. I just picked up my first truck.
Found an old 1990 nissan 4X4 hardbody P/U.
I was looking for a 3.0 V6 4X4 because I both drive long distances everyday and I live in the country on a dirt road on top of a mountain.
After looking at my options I think this is exactly what I need.
She's not much to look at, but the engine seems sound with only 191,000 miles on it
------my friend has one right now with over 300,000!!
you'll probably be seeing me post with some questions soon!
just wanted to say 'Hi' first

It's come a long way since I got it. When I bought it in August, it had a seriously ugly corrugated aluminum canopy, a ratty old KC lightbar, a 3" body lift, and tires that were just about bald. I took the canopy off the same day, as well as the light bar.
If you're wondering why the front end is so clean, it's because 2 days after I bought it, some woman pulled out in front of me while doing about 35, and I t-boned her, so pretty much the whole front end was replaced. Then shortly after that, a friend and I pulled the body lift off, pulled out the ****ty plastic bedliner, and I've been cleaning it up ever since.
I've got some plans for it, but nothing too extreme, since it's just my daily. I'm definitely swapping in Pathfinder seats now that I've seen it's possible, and maybe the dash, since mine has the fugly early squarish one, and I want to do an OEM center console also. I also want to do the later model grill and bumpers. Hope to pick up a lot of info and hopefully contribute some, too!

My name's David -- I'm originally from Virginia but more recently have called Georgia, Kentucky, and (soon to be) Maryland home.
I got my 1996 Hardbody XE as a gift from my pastor, who was getting a new SUV. Though I've dropped several thousand into this thing over the years, I absolutely love it -- runs well, looks sharp, and is simple enough that I've been able to learn quite a bit about working-on vehicles.
And man am I glad to find this forum! I had no idea all the things the humble Hardbody could become!

She doesnt burn that much oil and there is no smoke out of the tail-pipe. No leaks either. All the work I did since I owned her was; New breaks front and rear, new waterpump fan/clutch pully, New head-gasket and tune up. I really like this truck, I bought it from the original owner. Its got a fair amount of scratches here and there and one ding on the front right fender. Other than that, its original paint and stock everything.
I did a newer front end conversion and recently put some 16" crome rims on.
The pic makes it look better than it is, its a great truck but the interior is a mess. Needs a new bench seat and the dash is all cracked.
I do have a few issues with her, the temp guage does not work and the truck runs a little cold in the winter, so I have to partially cover the rad with cardboard or else she wont warm up completely. Any help appreciated!!!
This is the only pic I can find so far, shes a great truck. I don't believe I will ever sell this car.

My 96
Bought this one new back in 96. It just turned 150 k miles. The truck has been great.
I started to smell antifreeze. The radiator top had a small crack in it. I replaced the
radiator and decided to spend some cash on the truck. New Hoses, Belts, Plugs,
Plug Wires, Dist Cap, Rotor, Motor Oil and Filter, Brake Fluid, PS fluid, Shocks,
(for a split second I thought about greasing the front wheel bearings) New Front
Wheel Bearings and Seals, Rear Gear Oil, Fuel Filter, Sony CD stereo, Polk Speakers,
added a trans oil cooler.
The “To Do List”.
Different Exhaust ( don’t know if I should do a cat back or do the cat too) Suggestions?

if you don't have emissions where you live go catless... otherwise get a magnaflow cat and do a custom catback

BTW I am a retard
and clueless when it comes to custom work so DIY fabrication is a no-no for me.

My 240sx is far from a daily driver, And I got sick of trying to fool my self into thinking it was.
Anyways, So I picked this up last weekend. Its a 1994 Nissan Hardbody 4x4 V6 XE. I'm the second owner, And its only got 111k on the clock. Frames good and the ac blows cold. The last owner also left me a stack of service records and the original window sticker.

Who cares about A/C? |
I do... I bought a daily driver. Not another project car/truck.
I don't see why you wouldn't want A/C for a stock vehicle... Well, Unless you enjoy always smelling like sweaty nuts. That's just not for me though.

in a stock car i would not personally remove it... but here in CO i would only use it on the hottest summer days (90+) because at only 80 or so out it feels nice just to have the wind blowing in. now of course like i said i'd leave it in because girls don't like their hair being blown around and on those hot days i don't want to smell like nutsack... but A/C overall is not a necessity to me
one other thing about A/C... i hate it in turbo cars... it feels like the turbo lag is catastrophic and i'd only use it on the highway... off topic a little but still...
welcome to the trucks forums man!!!
