Does anyone have pictures of an S13 with the Flaken Hanabi's? I've been searching for wheels for a while and found these but before i buy, i want to see them on a 240. Thanks in advance.

teh only thing is that I do not like about the wheel's, is that it has pre-drilled holes for different lug pattern's...

how is the clearance from the struts? im wondering about the 17 x 7.5 hanabi with a 225 40/45 tire as well. except with koni yellow inserts, i have the stock fitment issues on the front. im wonderign if i shoudl just buy the 42mm offset when the time comes.

Post Title: Re: (boznuttz)
Posted by: rawill240sx at 1:40 PM 10/5/2006

There is at least 10mm - 15mm clearance between the top of the tire and the spring perch, and about the same between the inside of the tire and the strut body.

I would stay away from the +42 offset. I'm pretty sure that they would not clear.

Glad to hear that you like it. BTW, one of vert guys, topless94 posted it in vert forum, so I thought you might be interested. I'm not a fan of strechted tires, but that vert looks really good...

You can also check it out in the November 06 Issue of Modified Magazine.

Here's a good profile shot. The wheels on the car are 17x9 +20 w/ 235/40/17 all around. Fitment is hella flush. If you buy these wheels you will need to bang the lip on the rear quarters flat to make sure there is no rubbing.

Anyone have some pics of Hanabi's on an S14.
I lost my saved pics...

Thinking about some 17x9 +20's on my white s14 zenki..
Not sure whether to use bronze or silver....

awsome , another good reason to whore out my car.
Personally, I dont particularly like them on an s14 (they came with the car), I'd rather have some meshies.

That's the problem with wheel makers today. In the not so distant pass, you could buy a directional rim that bent the same direction on both sides the car. Thus, you didn't have 2 wheels on one side rolling forward, and 2 on the other rolling backward. What ever happened to that?

Those are nice wheels, don't get me wrong. I really like them on the vert, but make them directional please. That is why I stick with wheels with straight spokes.

The pics were actually taken at the Rt 29 Quarry in Malvern. It was difficult to get the car in there but the results speak for themselves. The car sold a day after the Modified issue came out.

They only come in a few sizes... as for the staggered look, 17x7.5 +32 and 17x9 +20

Post Title:
Posted by: whiterps13 at 2:54 PM 1/31/2007

Why woukld you stagger when you dont need to?

Dont be a *****, get 17x9 +20's with 235/40's all the way around.

Post Title: Re: (whiterps13)
