My friend just picked up a nice 95 pathfinder. I am going to get him into Nico and thought everyone should post up their pics.
Thanks

Currently I have a 2001 QX4:

totally stock black with tan leather. Sports package with roof, all four heated seats and limited slip rear. No Navi or TV system. The only "mod" I have is an aftermarket set of 16" wheels with studded snow tires mounted on them.
Prior to that, had a 2000 QX4:

Also stock. Traded it in because it was due up for a t-belt change and I wanted a VQ! haha
Prior to that, had a 95 Pathfinder SE V6 5-speed. Black with grey leather. I sold it prior to getting a digital camera and I don't have a scanner, so no pics available.

| Thanks!! My first car was a 1969 Mach 1 351W 3speed....so I have a thang for stangs. Those are fishing rod holders. You can point your car toward the water and use them like a sand spike to hold your surf rods. Also, when your moving up and down the beach looking for fish, you can put your rods there. Quicker than breaking them down each time you move. That picture was taken at Fort Fisher just south of Carolina Beach. The 03 LE 4x4 DID NOT have LSD and it did just fine in the sand!! Sand there was deep and fluffy too! I got is stuck once in high on purpose on an incline just to see if low would pull it out and it did great. You just need to move on down here. I grew up here, but most of my neighbors are from the north/midwest.
|
AHHH thanks. . that 'splains those things. .
I'd love to drive around on the beach. . I'd be very happy living down there, too. . and I'd be a lot closer to family. . I wish I could find a job there. :o

My exhaust on the Qx4 was a modified Stillen Cat-back exhaust. I had the stillen cat-back exhaust on for awhile and then i wanted to get creative. I then had my muffler shop custom make pipes to go around the spare tire and there she is. I had a CAI/Hollo cats/and stillen exhaust as mods. I also advanced my timing and had a safc II installed on my truck to tune it. Needless to say, my truck was a lot faster than stock even with the 20's. I was running even with a Murano RWD.

what is safcII?
also, with the advanced timing, what did that do for your fuel economy and power/torque? i dont need numbers, just whether they increased or decreased.
finally, did the exhause do anything for performance?

kingflosser - The wheels were Giovanna Anzio 20's. They fit perfectly on the QX4 because they were made for six lug suvs.

Bullrid - The safc II is a little device that is used to control and modify the air - fuel mapping the ecu controls. It's made by apexi and it'sgreat for the 3.5 engine used by nissan. I have one in my G35 and I35. I bought the safc II because after I modified my exhaust all the way up to the headers, i was running rich and I had to lean out the air-fuel. My mods definitely made my truck run faster. I was running all over v8 trucks all day. I have a video out there showing my 0-60 from inside the truck from a stand still. If i find it, I will post it here.
Oh and you can advanced the timing on 3.5 by going to the nissan dealer and having a mechanic do it for you. You need someone with a Consult II and have them modified the timing to 17+. I actually got great fuel economy after all my mods. I went from 15city to about 20city and greatly improved on highway mpg.

thanks for all that info, one more thing. what is the reason for the advanced timing. it injects the fuel sooner providing better response? better mixture of fuel and air resulting in more fuel efficiency?

| Yeah that's Tyler. (the lifted/offroad pathfinder/R50 community is PRETTY small lol) He is Prado lifts. He makes the biggest kit out there, but it's not quite ready for release just yet. The other kit is the 2" susp. lift that AC sells, but you can modify it a little and get 3.5" like I did. |
Any reliability issues with lifting an R50? I like what I see, but I want it to take a serious beating :o

His lift uses the stock subframe dropped 4.5", some say it wont hold up to abuse, but he has tested it (along with the other users of the test kits) and they have held up fine. I was originally at the top of the list to get one of these lifts, but I'm happy with mine and haven't had a problem tackling an terrain in Virginia, but if you want a real lift, check his out. I know for a fact he has spent months and MONTHS and MONTHS just designing it, then building it so he feels comfortable with it. I would put it on my rig.

I haven't gotten to play around on the rocks yet much until a few little kicks are worked out. I need to extend by bumpstops just a little further so the tires stop trying to rip my rear bumper off.
And in all honesty, I'm not the first one to do one of these kits. Neither is Keith or any of the kits he made. The things seem fairly popular in Japan, but they are expensive as hell to start let alone ship over here.
The kit has taken a pretty good beating so far. I know not everyone has followed the progress so far, but the spacers I had installed had 4 sides plasma cut and welded together to form a "box". The new design is a piece of rectangular tube with holes instead to eliminate all welds aside from the seam from when the tube was assembled.
This snowstorm I slid into a snowbank and cracked a weld on one of the old blocks....everything else seems fine. Welded it back up and ready to go.
I KNOW THIS IS THE PICTURE THREAD. OTHERS ARE CHATTING HERE, JUST ANSWERING QUESTIONS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MOVE IT TO A NEW TOPIC!!!

my wife and i picked up a 94 pathfinder se 4x4 manual new year's weekend. drove it home (saginaw, mi) from west of chicago. overall, i'm dissapointed with the purchase due to so many little things being wrong with the vehicle:
small fuel leak on the tank (i'm assuming - hard to see with that skid plate)
decent oil leak on the engine somewhere (haven't located the source yet - hard to get under there when all you have is car jacks and stands)
frame is rusted pretty badly
none of the console buttons work
front passenger window switch doesn't work (found that out on a rainy day - it goes down, but not up)
needs an alignment
speedometer, odometer, cruise don't work (probably need new vss)
underside is so rusty, i won't dare turn a nut/bolt down there.
on the other hand, it makes a great winter vehicle. heater works good, it grips pretty well in the nasty winter weather (even though it needs some new tires), and it rides pretty nice.
i paid around $2200 for it when all was said and done. (not including the gas, hotel, food, and time to go get it). i'm probably going to sell it come spring time and try to make some of my money back. i wouldn't mind getting a new pathfinder for next winter - maybe one that doesn't have so many problems or so much rust. i'd probably enjoy it a lot more if it didn't need so much work.
i don't have any pictures right now, but i'll probably get some good ones this weekend.

Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil
Probably follows the most aggressive service schedule...yes, I am paranoid.
Good Year Fortera TripleTred tires -->The BEST ALL season tires in the world...

etc etc...
Care:
Monthly Hand Waxing - McGuire's NXT + Nufinish
Hand Car Washes Weekly
Rubbery Black Stuff RustProofing for Underbody + Oil spray in doors
Leather care bi-monthly

Actually, the QX56 is based on the Armada if you want to get technical.
I really don't like the Armada and QX56 tho.
I thought the styling of the current Pathfinder would grow on me, but it hasn't... still, at least it's back to being a truck-based SUV again. I'd take one, but they look like they really NEED a lift imo.

Here's some pictures of my brother and I when he came to visit a couple of weeks ago.
A picture of my niece after she got splattered with a bit of mud when we all went out that day for some off-roading.
And two pictures of us when we got a bit stumped. We hit a semi rotten stump, uprooting it and parking on top of it.

I signed up to help out. I have my share of stories for tips/tricks/workarounds for my year model vehicle just like anyone else here does, and I wanted to share those here. Of course the things I will learn here are invaluable; there is nothing better than a collective of owners who take deep interest in their vehicles to get advice from!
Nothing special about my 2003 Pathfinder, other than it is well taken care of. It is the first car that I have owned that I felt as comfortable about it's reliability at 90,000 miles as I did at 900 miles. I picked up the car in Sep. 02' in Miami, FL where I lived at the time. Got a smoking deal on it through an IBM partnership program with Nissan. I purchased through a Nissan plan called the VPP; anyone ever heard of it? I don't think they have it any longer. It was too cool... basically you call a Nissan number, tell them who you work for, give them some way to ID you... in my case it was my IBM badge number... they give you a long string of numbers that you take with you to the dealership. This is where it gets good... especially since the sales people and typically the sales manager have NO CLUE what the VPP is. In a nutshell the VPP program is/was no haggle pricing, you give them the vin number, they input that into a Nissan intranet site and it spits out a price they have to sell you the car for. They also are required to show you the dealer invoice so you know what they paid. Regardless of vehicle, it is usually about a grand below what is on the dealer invoice. At the time, some Infinitis and the Z were ineligible for the program. The sticker on the window said $32k and I walked out with it for $27k and change without a haggle or a peep from anyone. It was simply the best new car buying experience you could ask for.
With that out of the way, I can tell you I have some experience with brake replacement, A real bitter taste in my mouth over having to replace a $528 MAF sensor and some experience with towing equipment mods for an SE ... The LE's are bagged and auto leveling in the back correct?
Anyway, my name is Tom, you can call me themot. The truck is filthy right now, so I will post some pictures in a few days when I get it cleaned up again.

I have a 2000 LE R50 which I got this past summer from my dad. Before that, I was driving a 97 Qx4 which was sold with about 170K on it, still running like money! The only reason I switched is B/C my dad's rig was brand new, aside from the highway mileage, and the maintenance is a bit cheaper.
Anyhow - I haven't modden my rig much at all yet, other than getting all the back country "gear" that I need to survive once I get stuck w/ my OEM rig hehehe. But I do have alot of plans for the near future. I'll be throwing some pics up as soon as I can get to em'

| Hey Guys! Brian in Boise here. I have had my '99 QX4 a little over a week. The wife and I being endless thrifty shoppers used our mechanic, the world wide web and Consumer Reports to narrow our "new" vehicle purchase down to a Pathfinder or QX4. We actually had a 2001 Pathfinder identified that we liked but the guy had to go to Eugene, OR over Christmas. The weekend before Christmas, we came across this one and my wife loved it. I was dreading the thought of telling the poor pathfinder owner that we had found another one until he e-mailed me that he had slid off the road with his and crunched the front end. Timing is everything. It is a 1999 with 112k miles, we paid $7,500, the timing belt was done at 106k miles. Our mechanic went over it and aside from a couple of small leaks, the only thing wrong with it was a broken oil pressure switch and worn tires. I've been driving a 1991 Chevy Corsica until now so this is a bit of a step up for me. The funny thing is that the QX4 is 6" shorter than the Corsica so it fits in the garage better! Anyway, here are some pics of our Craigslist beauty: |
Welcome aboard!! I've had mine just over a year, and I couldn't be happier. They seem to be a really good buy.

We don't have any cool air locking hubs or anything like that
I BET you could switch to all-mode on the Pathfinder. . good question. . Not sure what all that would involve, but it'd be more than I'd wanna do . . besides, your advantage is that you can run manual locking hubs. . not exactly a best practice if you have all-mode, as switching to auto without them locked could hose everything.

So far, 200 miles, we absolutely love this vehicle. This is my first Nissan. We're looking forward to many good years of service from it. We have 3 teenagers, so the 3rd row seating was a must. We went from a 2006 Ford Expedition to this vehicle. The mpg seem to be about 4-5 above the Expo. A feature we were in the market for.
I looked at 3 vehicles. The Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot and this. No comparison in my mind. Honda, too small. Toyota, rode like a soccer mom minivan. Not necessarily a bad thing, but my wife likes to sit higher up.
Hope there is some good input on reliability for these. From what I've narrowly researched, they seem like a dependable ride.

I wouldn’t say everywhere, but man there must be a million acres (random number) of national forest and reservations, you get the idea. You need permits for res' access though. These come with hundreds of miles of trails in climates ranging from low desert and cactus to mountains and pine - practically everything you can think of. I have explored basically nothing in comparison to what's here.
I'm a native of PA and know what you mean by everything being farms, etc. some cool places, but not like out here. I've explored basically nothing in AZ compared to what's here. I know some AZ natives that know where to go. Awesome places I hear. Can go from Phoenix desert to lakes and streams deep in the cooler mountains in like 2.5 - 3 hours and never look back.
Next time I get out, I'll take a few more pictures and post.

Wish the truck is two inches longer so that I can sleep in it with legs fully extended and the gate closed.

Zach from Cali here. Have a QX4 1999, used to belong to my mom and now it's mine. I've owned it for 5 years or so. Gas is getting expensive and I have to sell it though, I'm still a poor student
I'm pretty sad that I only found this great forum now that I'm planning to sell the car.
I will be checking in and out of here as the threads are really interesting.
In the meantime, if you guys are interested in purchasing the car, the link can be seen here.

She's pretty much stock besides a custom cold air intake, I switched the SE grille with an LE cause I liked it more, and upgraded the headlight bulbs. I'd like to get the AC lift, bigger tires, American Racing ATX Mojave wheels, wheels spacers and stuff like that too, but i need the cash money.

This is my 1998 QX4 with 210,000km on it. I bought it last summer for only $2500CDN after a woman in a blazer hit my Neon R/T head on, and I was in need of a vehicle. Some friends of the family were selling it and gave us a really good price on it. So far it hasn't had one single major problem. It runs beautifully in summer, and in the harsh winters, doesn't leak a drop. I'm very happy with this vehicle.

My only complaint would be the less than adequate power and horrible fuel mileage of the 3300, other than that, probably one of the most reliable and comfortable vehicles I have ever owned. I toyed with selling it a bunch of times but I just can't seem to part with it.

1995 Pathfinder XE 4x4
5 speed 3.0L V6
modifications:
3" suspension lift
31x10.50xR15 all terrain tires
brush guard
halogen lamps
I love this thing, it has been nothing but reliable. The only two issues that I've had with it are rust and the exhaust manifold. But I think those are both common problems on the older Nissan's.
I'll post pictures later when I'm on my home computer.

'72 240X, bought new, sold about 1987 with 110K miles for within $100 of what
I paid for it new. It's still on the road (or was a couple of years ago).
'70 Pickup, bought used about 1979, with a purported 80K miles, I think it was
really 180K miles. Sold in 1988. New owner never registered it, got letters
from the owner of the property where it was abandoned. I siced the new
owner's mother (a coworker) on him ;-)
'87 Pathfinder, bought new, 12/31/86 about 10 pm. The salesman wanted the
quota, I wanted to take the sales tax off on my income tax (kids, '87 sales tax
wasn't deductible), I won. Put 130K miles on it and traded it on:
'95 Pathfinder, bought new. Put 130K miles on it and traded it on:\
'01 Pathfinder, bought new. 154K miles at present.
About half the miles on the last two PFs have been towing my boat, That's
their job. http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/trailering/images/bunkTrailerLoad550x418.jpeg]http://continuouswave.com/whal....jpeg
Full disclosure: there is an '87 Corvette in my garage. I didn't buy it, I
inherited it. Ditto for the '68 Firebird 400 Convertible (last seen in New
Zealand ca. 1997) The 'vette makes one heck of a backup car. ;-)

| They are Firestone Destination M/T's. I did quite a bit of research to find the best all around mud terrain. These scored the highest out of all of the M/T's I looked at. I have about 10k miles on them and show hardlt any wear. The cost blew my mind at about 135 bux each with an available road hazard and replacement plan. I sound like a commercial, I know. I would recommend them to anyone. The only downside is that so far, they are only available up to a 33" tall tire. |
I had to get rid of my QX4, but those are the EXACT tires I nailed down as well. I love them. A friend / coworker has them on his Silverado, and they are pretty awesome. I couldn't find anything better for the money, either.

Other than that it's a gem, 1 owner, cleanest carfax I've ever seen, 120,000km (75,000miles)
So unless there's something wrong, or they can't fix the seat for some reason, I'll have it tomorrow! I'll post some pics in a bit. Now just to replace those fugly stock wheels, I was thinking maybe some other larger stock wheels from another nissan/infinity, but I haven't looked into any fitment or anything yet. I'm from Vancouver Canada. I just bought a 2001 Pathfinder SE yesterday. 151,000 kms. The interesting thing is it says 3.5 SE on the back but the truck has heated leather seats, power everything...pretty much the same as the LE except it has the SE tube steps and the SE wheels. Was the leather added in as a dealer option?
No mods yet but planning on putting in a K&N filter and maybe HID's soon. If anyone knows where I can get a good deal on HID's, please let me know.
I have some other small questions which I will post up in separate threads. great forums here though.

My ride is 99(Similar to Canadian models, so many French warning labels, gauges are showing in Miles) but it is painted with original color two years ago. It has big scrathes on its body. Also front bumper has been replaced due to little accidents in past. Fog lights are from another car.
Tires are 265/70/15 AT type. Rest is completely stock. Side steps were stock for these models.
Car has LPG double fuel system and let me save money around %40 percent. Performance is little degraded on climbing but it is ok.
naladude911:
Nissan sold r50 starting form 1996 to 2001 in Turkey. on 2000 they replaced engine with vg35 as they did in US Canada and Europe. Exclusive distributor here really sucks. They were unable to marketing these to public well and they sold little quantities. Especially r50 with vg35 is really rare here. Sold models are al SE with leather interrior with double din main units. No LE XE or 2d models. All models were with a tire carrier but mine is missing due to another small accident happened when previous owner was parking it.
Holidazed:
I bought this car in 2005. I paid almost 19000 USD. It has 89000 miles on odometer. Now it is 140k miles. Now you can buy a 96-99 pathfinder for 12000 USD to 14000 Usd. 2000 is little more but 2001 is much more expensive. may be 5000 USD.
Actually there are not so much in Istanbul, biggest city here, all rich guys sold them to us :P We have 20 or so in Ankara, the capital city, which has 5000k people. I am one of the lucky ones
PS:you have a nice car with a very nice color.
Also you were asking about HIDs. I installed a 9004 4300kelvin kit to my 99. Those bulbs has halogen addition for high beams but no luck. They are out of focus and only good as a night baby light. Car has ancient type headlights but i got very efficient illumination. But i lost head lights. So installed additional high beams inside bumper. using inverse relays i triggered low beams with parking ligts , and made them stay on when it shifts to high beams. This is totally illegal but who cares. Cops do not instrested in such situaitons. But inspectors are dealing with those so i did not cut or damaged original setup, i can instantly return to halogen bulbs.

| 1997 pathy SE got her back in October and just recently got some new AR rims and 31 inch BFG A/T and thought I'd share. All's stock except for the rims/tires hopefully planning on getting a lift from A/C still kind of debating whether its worth it or not. I also got a brush guard coming from ebay and some yellow fog lights that i can't wait to install |
I also have a 97 and i have alot of sway in the reare at highway speeds, anybody know about this?
Also i like the 00 bumpers, anyone know if i could put one on my 97? thanks

What lockers do you have (has to be ARB cause no one else makes a rear air locker for R50's)?

But to answer your question it could work with a sh*t ton of modification, so it would just make more sense to buy front & rear air lockers from ARB for an R50 for that kind of money.

You can't be, you only have two "axles" (the front is IFS so you you have CV axles). If you had a military vehicle with 3 axles you could have 3 lockers... |
Well I did the research and i found out that I'm not locked in the front only Land Cruisers come stock with that(and some others) but i know that I'm locked in the rear because of the switches they put in. But def not in the front. Btw are you stupid, THREE AXLES????; you CAN be "Triple Locked" check out the Land Cruiser (Rear,Center,Front) My friend has one

the rims are the same size, I had 265/40 series all around but the fronts were worn out (I had a bad alignment) anyways I decided to go with 265/35 series on the front and replace the back when I can afford it.
I only got stock suspension and my tires don't rub at all.

The windshield strip is HUGE, but doesnt block you field of vision from the drivers seat at all, like if your following a car, the tint cutoff line is about 1" above the cars roof. So its litereally perfect, and exactly what I wanted, so much less sun in the car while driving.
I love my cars

I am looking to buy another Ride, and Givin my Girl the Truck. Granted she has work on Cars, Since her Father is a Veteran Mechanic for over 20 plus years. I fell Like My cousin Vinny, when every we talk about Cars. She is very cool, and knews her stuff, I'm well a Local DJ in Las Vegas, and Enjoy Driving the Qx4, Doing Gigs and keeping things Goin. Other then that The Site Looks very kool. Hope to learn alot about the truck, and setting up mod's for her.
Basic Mod's in the Project
Air bag Lowering Kit
3 stage Normal, Low, Slammed
Dynomax Dual Exhaust System
Pipes exhaust coming from rear doors before rear Tires
Dual Turbo Clips for low in power, not for Top end, but for 1/4 mile stuff
Dual per for Street, and Dragg
K & N Flowmaster
My Girl, with her Dad, and the gang of tools. Got me on all that stuff. I used to mess with that, but Kinda left it for more Hands on SportBike Mechanic. So yeah she is perfect for me.
But I will post up, what she put on the Truck, So I am looking forward on setting this up.
Thanks Everyone

Plus the winter driving conditions here are insane especially with limited slip diffs with lockers the truck is almost completly predictable. An added bounus is when I pull jeeps and other POS SUV's stuck in a snow bank. It makes me laugh |

There are a couple of other options but thats for the truely badassness like SFD (Sub Frame Drop lifts) or SAS (Straight Axle Swap) but only 2 people in the known world have done that (& they aren't even finished) have SAS & only a couple have the SFD.
As far as wheels & tires go, the tires can make ahuge difference if you really want to go offroad & aftermarket rims (offroad rims) are a good idea cause they can take a lot more damage & stress than the stock rims. If you go with a lift you can fit 32x11.5 tires if not then 31x10.5 or 31.12.5 (I wouldn't suggest going this wide unless you have a lift & 15x10 rims in all reallity) will be the max. I personally run 32x11.5x15 BFG Muddterrains, but if you want something like a nice AT theres plenty out there.
Roof racks are nice addition to have (not the sh*tty little ones that come with the R50) to put real spare tires on, lights & other accessories.

Pretty general looking Pathy. This is actually my brother-in-law's PF, but I've sunk more $$$ into it than the Mirage I used have.
I could list a bunch of repairs and whatnot, but instead I'll just list two of the changes that I like: new Alpine iDA-X305 HU and HID conversion kit. All pictures were taken with my phone, so not very good qualiy.
And just for the sake of comparison to the HID-simulate I just replaced (and boy did they SUCK). Note: it was raining when I did the swap in the parking lot... so there's more fog in the HID picture.

you will find alot of info on here if you search past threads, lots of nice people on here to get ideas and advice from as well. regarding offroading and lift kits...you can deffinatly offroad just fine with the pathfinder without lifting it. it just depends on how hardcore of offroading you are going to be doing. if you plan on lifting the truck, make sure you have enough money to do it right and get new shocks, springs, wheels, etc and have it done professionally somewhere. its not going to be cheap.
a bush guard is a nice addition but keep in mind that the extra weight will give you worse gas milage. but they look good and will protect your front end.

its pretty expensive though. I'd search on ebay and craiglist for one. that link says pathfinder but they should fit on a qx4 the same. unless the front bumper is alot different. but your best bet for price would be to find one used online somewhere. or a junkyard

Wish I could say I have it customized, tricked out and spotlessly clean, like most of the other's on this thread, but alas I live of world of family, farming and long work hours.
So it's just a trusty old workhorse, there for me day, after day, after day. It has 135,000 miles on the origianal fan and timing belts, which will finally be changed next week. Tiny bit of rust on the bumper and one door that will not open.

I bought a '98 Pathfinder last month. I was casually looking for an SUV and this one ended up having just about everything I wanted...5spd, 4x4, 109k miles and super clean. So far I've changed the oil and air filters and removed a loose quarter that was sliding around under the instrument panel.
I don't think it had the 105k maintenance so I'll probably be getting that done eventually (I commute to work by bus, so this is strictly a pleasure vehicle for now). I've also noticed that my rear end shakes side to side at high speeds when I go over an uneven stretch of highway. So I think shocks are in my very near future.
I was looking for a forum to get advice from and bounce around some of my own ideas. This appears to be the place.

(The fuel door does close. And I removed the ski racks, but left the bars for a cargo rack.)

Yeah, I feel like I've only seen a few in various forums. I had no idea they offered a manual tranny. Does anyone know what percentage of all Pathfinders came from the factory that way? And would this be considered an XE since it's a 5spd without power windows/doors (insurance company and dealer call it an SE).

The 5spd is "clutch." I'm probably going to trade the ski racks in toward a Yakima LoadWarrior cargo basket.

2. They sold it in Russia? |
No. This one was sold in Germany in 1999, and came in Russia in 2003. It's European version.

Okay, figured it out.
I live in off-road country, Powell River, BC, up the Sunshine Coast. I would like to know if I can get parts online sent to me, being in Canada.
Any ideas?

My 1990 Nissan Pathfinder, running at 511,000 kilometres, or 318,000 miles, on the original engine!!!
Very well cared for by the previous owner, full synthetic oil changes since 1994 by him. There is a hole under the rear seats from rust, but that's the only issue! Very few minor rust spots elsewhere, clean interior, no stains, all lights work!
I love this truck! I love black Nissans too, obviously
A good bodyguard for my President, who is not equipped to handle snow...

alexf20c, what lift(s) do you have on your Pathfinder?

| the AC coil lift from 4x4parts.com, and it's on 285/75-16 (33in) Dunlop Mud Rovers. |
Do you get rubbing or did you have to do lots of trimming?

the fender flares were also removed. the tires wouldn't stuff into the fenders with them in place.

After 6 years of 'neglecting' my 2003 Pathfinder (just basic maintenance, very little TLC...) I am looking forward to getting some mild mods done and upgrading anything else that needs replacement due to wear and tear...
Coming up soon will be the brakes (suspension is next)
I am hoping to find advice and info on the forums to avoid mistakes...
Cheers
Frank

Here is my 2003 QX4 4WD with just over 53K on the clock. My 1994 Volvo (winter car) is no longer the reliable beast that I once had with 216K. So I had to find a new winter car.
I have always loved the looks of these and pathfinders. When I found her it was a deal I could not pass up.
I look forward to becoming better acquainted with the Pathy/QX4 community.
Now a few photos:
