Distributor Timing

The pupose of this faq is to show how to get the distributor in the correct timing position.

1st locate your front main pully

Understand the markings on the pully, if you can't see them, turn with a socket wrench clockwise (pretty tough)



Make sure that you have the spark plug wires on the correct cylinders



Check that the rotor on the distributor is in the #1 cylinder position at TDC; don't be alarmed if it is in the #4 cylinder position b/c it can be in both, just spin the pully another 360 degrees to get it to normal position (Also see next pic)
