POssibly issue with 4wd going into 4wd L (( HELP ))

I have a 2000 pathfinder and I will be sitting dead still and have car into nuetral and go from 2wd to 4wd with no issue very nicly. Now from 4wd H going into nuetral fine but going back into high it will grind and also from there going into 4wd L it will ALso so what I do to get back into 4H or 2wd I turn car off and no grind any awnsers .... PLEASE thanks Zach

it's going to grind even when you do it correctly, so just shift quick and firm and it'll go into gear.
