For various reasons the car has not been driven much for the last 3 years. That changed 4 months ago. I've had a tune up, brake service, battery replaced, belts changed in last 3 months. All as part of routine maintenance except the battery/terminals which were corroded.

Now for some reason, starting today the airbag, brake, oil, lights come on and stay on. I had 1200.00 in maintenance and replacements done 6 weeks ago in order to AVOID problems and now this??? What could be causing this? jhc

Have you tried pulling the codes? I'm sure the system has a few stored if you have lights on. Take it to a Autozone style parts place and they can hook up and pull them.

In addition to what "audtatious" mentioned, also have them check the alternator - battery voltage must be 13.8VDC or higher when alternator is charging. Crazy things do happen when the alternator is malfunctioning.

Alternator replacement is not difficult. An OEM alternator from IoS - everythinginfiniti.com is @ $300 (discounted price) and you can keep the original alternator. If buying from AutoZone and the likes, you have to give them the core (old alternator) to get discounted price on a refurbished one.

If you have an electrical shop near you, they can probably repair it for $100 more or less, depending on the number of components to be replaced.
