My 97 KA is out and I stipped it down. Im doing a budget rebuild on her because some of my piston rings went. I want a reliable engine and maybe 14 psi on a dd.

Here is my plan so far.

Fel Pro Full gasket set ( head gasket be alright ?)Forged 9:1 JE Pistons + RingsRecondition Stock rodsAluglide ACL bearings (good enough for boost?)Polished Cams + CrankRecondition Cylinder WallsAll Trans and Oil sealsNew valve stem sealsExedy stage 2 with lightened Fly

Stock Head and Main rods be alright?320 HP goal

Any other suggestions?or change something up before I start ordering?

Sounds like a good plan. Add ARP head studs to the list, and while they are out you might as well get some ARP mains too. Fel-Pro is a good HG for your power goals.

Has anyone used the Aluglide ACL bearings on a boosted KA?They are not the race bearings! But will they be alright for my power goals. They claim to 'meet or exceed oem'I already have them, thats why I ask

PS. Are ARP bolts really worth 180$?Whats wrong with OEM?
