The stylish, powerful and roomy Nissan Armada enters the 2010 model year with a revised model lineup, which now features three well-equipped models: the Armada SE and two special editions, the Armada Titanium Edition and Armada Platinum Edition.

All three models are equipped with a 5.6-liter Endurance V8 engine rated at 317 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque, along with an advanced 5-speed automatic transmission, heavy-duty fully boxed ladder frame and comfortable double-wishbone suspension. Available options include Moonroof and DVD Family Entertainment System.

The Armada Titanium Edition includes a full array of standard comfort and convenience features, including Nissan Intelligent Key™, leather-appointed seating, RearView Monitor, Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System, premium Bose® audio system with 11 speakers, power-folding 60/40-split 3rd row seat and auto-leveling rear air suspension.

The Armada Platinum Edition adds heated front seats and steering wheel, power rear liftgate, moonroof, DVD Family Entertainment System and Nissan Navigation system with XM NavTraffic® system with real-time traffic information (XM® subscription required, sold separately) and 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive.

Other changes for 2010 include new two-piece body-color side moldings with chrome strip treatment, chrome roof rails and contrasting interior stitching for the Titanium and Platinum models, revised available wood grain finisher appearance, the addition of standard front seat side-impact supplemental air bags for the SE 4x2 model and three new exterior colors.

Platinum Edition is a sweet deal! Probably a better choice than a 2010 QX56!

I just bought the 2010 Platinum Armada ... I couldn't agree more! I bought it after a careful comparison with the QX56. My decisions were based on the following:

1. Armada has a more appealing/attractive/mean front grill2. Armada uses Regular unleaded gas (87 octane) and Flex Fuel - which is cheaper than premium (91 Octane)3. Armada (platinum) had every single option that is standard on the QX - no difference whatsoever4. With the Armada, I can have all the toys and luxury inside, and the looks outside, without showcasing the ostentatiousness of the QX565. Price was about $9K cheaper on the Armada after both dealer's incentives.

I think that's it ...

I was just wondering If I missed something in the specs; but the Nissan didn't have Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)- and as a result that also removed some additional pre-crash features as a result?

There was a few small other differences from what I could see, but you are right on the big items there were pretty much the same (unless you include thicker glass and more sound proofing). I'm wondering if your comment is true, or if I have mis read the specs provided to me - or maybe the Canadian version is different?

p.s. I think in Canada we have only an option for 7 or 8 passenger, there was no other trim levels, so maybe that plays a role in your comment? Everything else was standard all other options included in both trim levels - We don't even have a choice between 2 or 4 wheel drive etc on the QX56...

No "I" cruise or Xenons on the Armada, other than that, everything else is very minor. Personally I don't see a sounds difference between the Armada and the QX56. Strange as it sounds, my '08 Armada was much quiter inside than my '04 QX56 was. Both Armada and QX56 have 7 or 8 person seating options in the U.S.
