I have a 94 hb and its a base model 2.4 with a 5sp trans. Manual everything. Freaking thing only has one belt! Do any of the other year higher amp alternators interchange? Maybe even newer fronty's or pathy's? All help is appreciated. Going to be installing a medium size audio system and don't wanna tax the system too much.

go online to courtesyparts.com it is nissan dealer in texas and look at online parts and look up the alternator for your model and top model of same yr or 2-3 yr previous and post models and compare part numbers. Maybe they have more amps on other models. Or call autozone and have them pull it up and see what amperage is on yours etc. Most likely unless you install a real high wattage system you should be okay on stock alternator. My 91 has ac power steering etc and I have a set of 2 amps pulling close to 600 watts and no problems.

Quest alternators were 110 amp. With a pulley change, one of those might work.

Also google "Mean Green alternator"

I'll check both places. Thanks. I thonk the stock alternator puts out 60 amps. Probably enough but I'd rather have too much the barely enough.

Thanks again
