93 Quest Fuel Tank

Before I disassemble more than I have to, what is the correct proceedure to drain the fuel tank. I don't see a drain plug and the shop manual just says drain it -not how. I need to drain iot as it is full and has set 18 months. The engine runs fine when I start it, but I'm afraid it will gum up the works if I burn too much of the stale fuel. I need to have it smogged by June and so must drive it at least 30 miles round trip.

how about...

disconnecting the fuel hose to the fuel filter; putting that hose into a catch can

now turn on the key w/out starting the vehicle... let the pump do the work

may haveta use a battery charger on your battery after a while, i guess...
