Figured I'd introduce myself and my car after a couple of years of lurking.

I currently own two 240's. Here's my rb powered one:

Here are some videos of the turd:http://www.youtube.com/profile...ideos

She used to look nice, but now she's pretty banged up, she met a wall while autoxing...front fenders and hood are a total loss as well as the rear passenger quarter panel. It's not really worth fixin so for the time being I'll run it the way it is and I'll just pick up a new chassis down the road.

Here are some shots of the engine. Unfortunately it was kinda dirty when these were taken, so the pictures really don't do it justice. Also, the wiring will be cleaned up this winter.

A couple more of the engine:

Thanks, I love the color too, I plan on painting my next chassis the same color. It's a MKIV Supra color called Alchalite Metalic. There were only like 172 Supras ever made in that color.

Spill the beans... was this some squid-like newbishness or is someone else to blame?

Ugh that car was beautiful...

Well, here's what I think happened, I did the Grand National coil-pack conversion and for some reason the car didn't like it (didn't realize this was the issue at the time) so it was breaking up at high rpm, and didn't have much power. I was coming out of a slalom and had it sideways and I think it ran out of oomph, and when the diff unlocked, all of the sudden the car whipped the other way and I was looking right at the wall. I managed to grab control of it just enough to hit the wall at an angle instead of head on.

So no, not really newbishness, the lack of newbishness is probably what kept it drivable. Reason I think it was the diff is that my friend had the same thing happen to his SR swapped s13 when he was drifting, although he didn't hit the wall as hard, but still ruined his bumper, etc.

at least I have this going for me:(from "You know you own an s13 when")64) The more damage to the exterior of the car, the crazier it looks.

If that's the case, my car must be INSANE CRAZY!

Sup man, Good looking car, Fellow Wisconsin guy.

BTW - did you paint the car Anthricite? or was that a previous owner thing? Just wondering cause that's an odd color and i was thinking of it on my girls coupe.

EDIT--- Did you by chance ask a guy in a White Hatch on Hwy100 a few weeks ago to trade?

Thanks, it's amazing how many 240 owners there are running around WI, and yet, I see nearly none!

Previous owner painted it, didn't do the best job, but he built it as a drift car and I was actually glad it wasn't super nice, that way I didn't get as pissed if it got a scratch on it.

EDIT: No, not that I remember."EDIT--- Did you by chance ask a guy in a White Hatch on Hwy100 a few weeks ago to trade? "

Nice ride. Sucks about the damage, but that's how it goes. Time to pick up a new DD, drop your 20 in your pignose LOL. PS those sportmaxxs don't do your ride justice :p

BTW is that a single 12 or 14 inch fan? Issues with overheating?

lol, everyone tells me to put the rb in the fastback. Unfortunately I have no desire to put it in a fastback...I'm a big coupe fan (not that I don't like hatches, but I just would rather have it in a coupe).

I would like some different rims, but the sportmaxx's look alright/good and I already have them, so until I get everything else done (i.e. new chassis, motor done) I'm not going to spend cash on rims.

It's a 14" if I remember correctly. No overheating issues unless I'm idling for extended periods of time, she'll start to climb. I also had some issues the last time I autox'd, after 4 laps (at shawno) with only 5min. between them, she started to heat up, got a bit over 200F. I'm sure it would be fine if I had another fan, but this fan is just temp. I plan on getting a new koyo 3" this winter and putting on a pair of nice fans w/ a shroud.
