And, it has a 5.0 liter V-8 with 390 HP. Wow!

I hope that it makes it to a new Q50 and/or an M50 soon enough.

Nice!!

But ... too many forward gears. It might hunt a lot at the top end, I'd think!

I'd rather have just five maximum - maybe even just four. In my current M, I drive it it in manual mode around town with it set for 4th gear maximum, and only put it into 5th when I enter a highway. That way, I do not have it seeking between 4th and 5th at low speeds (relatively speaking) or uphill slopes.

Hmmm ...

Four is a little archaic and would probably drop fuel economy even lower..

A point. So, maybe five gears is the right number.

I just don't like the idea of it hunting for the top gear around town. I find the current 4 and 5 shifts do this too much when I am just running around town and want to accelerate a bit in slow-n-go traffic. So, I always set it to 4 max for low-speed driving.
