I got my car to start 1 time with Megasquirt and then when I tried to restart it I noticed that my fuel pump is cycling on and off. I thought maybe something was stuck open causing the fuel pressure to drop so I clamped the fuel lines with a vice grip and it still cycles on and off.

Could this be a faulty relay?

I don't think it could have too much to do with the Megasquirt because it doesn't control the fuel pump.

What else could cause this? I would think maybe a bad FPR but like I said, I clamped the lines and it still cycles on and off. Oh, and when it kicks on I hear fuel just ripping through the rail.

So, when the key is in the ON position the fuel pump just keeps cutting on and off?? Weird..

Also, MS DOES control the fuel pump man, or at least it can. It might be because your using the stock wiring for the fuel pump that its acting goofy, idk. I would wire up the fuel pump to MS and see how it works from there.

Thanks guys. Turns out MS does control the fuel pump and the problem is code related.
