What are you using for tuning? You don't need to set your timing back to 15*btdc for 7psi. You're just losing power.

I'd say around 190whp and about a 14.5 1/4 mile... of course I know nothing else about the car besides this turbo setup.

You really don't need to retard that much. If you wanted to be safe, just retard it back to 18 degrees or so. 7 psi would put your around 180 to 190 or so at the wheels. A friend of mine ran low 14s. He had a similar setup, 225 Kumho MXs, and a factory VLSD.

he should be ok w/ n60 and 370cc... its the only maf/injector setup that doesnt NEED tuning, could it use it yes....tuned ecu hands down the best... without invasive stand alones.

afc and a btm are also good for that boost

Try to add an oil restrictor before you replace/rebuild it. What size of a line are you running to your turbo?

You need to stop telling people this is ok...because you are simply not correct.........................................................................................................................

At first glance the only thing I'd say would be to pull up your pants

I like how u routed the valvecover breather tube back in after the MAF. People don't believe me but my car idles funny with it off.

This might sound stupid but check all of your pipes after the MAF. My Friends SR had an boost leak and ran exactly like you just stated.

my ebay kit made no sense.. good thing a buddy had a spare 1 peace cold pipe off of his SR and it fit right up.. only thing i used from the e bay set up was couplers and on the hot side where the intercooler meets the pipe..

Do some research.Do a boost-leak test.Take pics of your setup.Test injectors for leaking.Get proper engine management.

Could be a few things, bad turbo seals, oil lines are not good(feed line should be smaller than return line), or you have a loop on your return line where oil cant get back to your engine and it burns out of your tailpipe. Happened to me before.

One other thing make sure to upgrade your fuel pressure regulator, my turbo set-up didnt last long before my fpr crapped out on me. i learned the hard way and got stuck on the road. i heard the reason why is because the stock fpr isnt made to handle the high flow walbro.

try to unplug the maf and if it idles better than the maf is bad and make sure it is at least 12" away from turbo(looks like it is) . i made 245whp and 241wtq with stock maf and 7-8psi stock wastegate using afcneo. your stock maf should be able to handle up to around 270whp based on a guy on nico.

also what is your vac/boost gauge reading, sounds like could be vac leak.

adjust the idle and make it idle at 900rpm or 1000rpm and see if that helps. btw does it hold a steady idle at 740. You're only using an afcneo right? Honestly it works but they are pretty crappy there are days where it just goes crazy and doesnt want to work right. I think the neo is pretty accurate with tach reading though.

make sure to gap plugs to .033 and go at least 1 step colder, i prefer the bkr7e ngk iridium.

also make sure hotwire is 5in/5out

I prefer you get ecu tune something like emance, jason is really cool and especially the price it's like half the cost of that neo. Gauranteed it will be a thousand times better than that stupid afcneo. trust me i've been through two dyno shop with afcneo and i almost gave up but found out about emance. i went to meet up with him and didnt regrett getting his ecu tune. holds a really steady idle and way better power than trying to run retard timing the whole time, meaning better response when off boost. also better gas mileage. sorry typed so much. hope this helps. still check all couplers for boost leak.

i sset the idle at 1000 and it still idles at 740 .. and i used a fog machine to look for leaks found nthn .. even hoes down the damn motor still nthn ....
