92 240sx will not start....help please (details inside)

ok i just picked up a 92 240sx coupe and it will not start

it has a ka24de twin cam

it has sparkit has fuel

it will not fire

cant figure it out for the life of me

Does it crank?

cranks fine i had some people look at it and we reset the timing and it seems that it is the battery and or the alternator apparantly the ecu is not getting enough volts to stay on

If it's cranking fine then you don't have a low voltage issue.Go through the basics.

1) Check ecu for codes2) Make sure the ignition wires are not mixed up.3) Make sure there is spark at the plugs not just from the coil.4) Check for loose connections on the air inlet hose, big vacuum leaks..etc 5) Disconnect the mass air sensor and see if it starts. 6) Compression test

Does it want to start if you hold the throttle open a little while cranking?
