Car wont star with key,Timing Chain Help, and car dosent acelerate. Im a noob.

ok i was looking at the tutorials for help and saw this tread zerothread/105618 . i have a 89 coupe with a 92 DOHC engin. I took of the valve cover and saw im missing the top guide. do i need it? or do i just relace the bottom guide and the noise will stop?

also the elecricity isnt going from the key to the engin. when i turn the key it makes a click. i can start it with a wire from my battery to the starter (thing under intake manifold).

i tryed driving it like that. 1st works kinda ok but dosent really pull. 2nd and the rest or the gears dont pull. reverse works.

any advice would be great. thanks.

ya i tried that. didnt find what i needed. only that tutorial about the chain. so i posted for help.

edit* might have found why my car wont start with the key.
