Anyone install a shark fin?

Hey guys, I just upgraded to an 07 Sentra SER recently from my 04. I've been looking for a shark fin antenna and found a site that sells them.

I see a picture of one (http://www.visualgarage.com/Product_Gallery_flash.html ... picture #10) but there aren't enough angles ... wondering if anyone has any angles from the rear and more from the side quarter panels?

search on ebay, they have some adequate pics. i wanted it, but it was like $81...i just unscrewed the antenna and it looks like a shark fin already and i havent lost radio quality. just make sure that you put something in the hole to prevent dirt from getting in in case at some time you want to screw the antenna back on.

Yeah, the price is steep but then again it comes painted already ... when I painted my spoiler, they charged me $90 and that wasn't a bad quote.

I tried no antenna, but I lose reception ... i wonder how you got reception still

yea $81 is a bit too high. I tried to bargain w/ the seller for $50 but he couldn't give me the discount. So I was thinking of unscrewing the antennae too since I didn't seem to lose reception either. Sentrastance, what did you use to cover up the hole? Got any pics?

I believe it's strictly the FM/AM radio. I too have the Bluetooth option.

Why do you have to wait 2 - 3 weeks? If you're paying $80 for this thing, I'd want it within 2 - 3 days.... Please post pics when you get it installed. I'd like to get one but it's tough to justify the high cost.

Cool, since DarkAquarius is getting the shark fin on his own, we only have 4 members interested and don't even make the minimum of 5...... The discount isn't much unless we get 50+.....

I ended up getting one at full price, didn't wait for the group buy to happen. But, it was worth it ... its painted nicely and well made. Reception didn't change. Highly recommended!
