Hey guys,

I just got my new tires I ordered yesterday and I was just wondering what kind of tires/sizes you have on your Z's. What kind of tires have you tried before and how well did they preform?

My new tires (rear only) are Yokohama S.Drive (255/35R/18 Y).

Also while we are on the topic, I am going to be getting new rims and what width of a rim do I want (in inches) for 255 tires?

I'm running 235/40/18 front on an 8.5 inch rim and 275/35/18 rear on a 9.5 inch rim.

as for the rim size you need if you read the spec from the tire manufacturerthey will give you a minimum and maximum safe rim width for the tire size you have selected. If you think that in the future you may want to go with a wider tire then pick a rim width near or the at the maximum recomended width.

I ran a set of Kumho Ecsta 711's in stock sizes on stock wheels, they are a great cheap cnsistant all weather tire, I'm now running 245 falken 615's out back on 17x9 ziegans and 235's up front on 17x8's, great for a dual purpose autocross tire but still nothing like R compounds and crap in the wet

you're 255's should fit a 9-10" wide wheel
