while i finished installing the springs on yesterday, i started thinking how the car would sound without the muffler so me and my friend started messin with it. We finally got the stock muffler out and then started the car and it sounds soo nice!! but my question is, is this safe? The only bad thing about it is that everytime the car is at idle, the catback rattles, which i could fix but im wondering if its negative for the car...Thanks!

Safe depends on how much of the system you removed. As long as the pipe terminates after the heat shield on the rear, you won't be spraying hot exhaust gases on your gas tank. If it terminates before then, you COULD potentially be increasing the temperature of the gas tank.

Of course, what you did is horribly illegal is most locales. Mufflers are required by law. They don't have to be the original muffler, they just have to be there.

before i had my cat-back done i had removed the muffler and had a new tailpipe made for it. i had it this way for 4-5 months and never had a problem, its is actually loader now then without a muffler

yeah its not that bad at all. Ive decided to drive aroound like this for the weekend then ill hook the stock exhaust back on. My main problem with it is that it wobbles alot when the car is at idle..makes allot of noise..kinda gets annoying lol. i tried tieing it a random handle but it still doesnt work..

Just weld a hanger or two to the exhaust
