Some comment on the link:

Predeparture Safety Checklist: "Pre" is a prefix. In the USA, prefixes are nothyphenated unless they precede a proper now (Post-Regan economics, Pre-World War II.)

Predeparture Safety Checklist. You don't need jack stands. What a crock.

Backing up: If you have 4WD with compound low ("granny gear") USE IT. Everything will happen in slow motion.

Backing up: DON'T have someone guide you, it wil just get both of you confused and pissed off at each other. Tell your guide, "if you think I'm about to hit something, tell me 'STOP!' and we'll sort it out."

Backing up: Watch your left side mirror. Learn what the trailer looks likewhen things are going straight. The left side mirror is the first place you cansee the trailer getting off dead center.

Finally: Teach your other half to back up the trailer. Adm. Linda gotcomplements from three different people on the boat ramp Sunday (Shebacked the trailer down, I drove the boat on, this on a "two-lane" rampwith the other two lanes occupied (one was getting an inspection from DFG,the other had backed their van down to load gear off the boat. The van did NOT have a trailer. GRRRR.), she backed down between them. Saved about 15 minutes.

here's a quick question after reading the owners manual. it said that if i were to pull another vehicle/object with tow rope/chain, that we are supposed to use the right (passenger) front tow hook and not to use the left (driver) one as it is just a tie down and can cause frame damage. .... i didnt say where to hook on a tow rope/chain for the rear of the vehicle as i dont have a tow hitch yet. any suggestions? are the rear hooks also just tie downs or can they take some force?

man i cant wait until the snow/slush is gone so i can crawl under the pathy and investigate.

I read that in the OM too... wonder why one can't use the driver's side front hook?
