Ok, I own a '95 Q45 with about 188K miles on her. Mostly everything still works just fine, except for the old Bose system and the Driver side window.

Though now I am encountering a few problems......

1. The power steering is loud again. I say "again" because it used to be loud until I replaced the alternator and battery. Then it was quiet again and steered a little smoother, until the battery went dead ONCE (left interior light on overnight) and then it was back to being loud. It works, but you can hear it working. I'm guessing it's not getting enough power or something.

2.Acceleration, seems to be a big problem in these cars. It's funny, sometimes it takes off like a bat-outta-he** , and other times it feels like half my HP is gone and it takes it's sweet time getting to the next gear. Sometimes it does this and then all of a sudden it takes off with normal power around 2500-3000RPM's. Sometimes higher. Usually this happens from a stop, and it doesn't happen all the time either, probably about 30% of the time. Sometimes while this is happening there is a little bucking like it wants to go but can't. There is no knocking or pinging.

I've checked all my vacuum hoses, fuses, and wires. It seems to me like both these problems are due to low Voltages or something, i'm not a mechanic but I have a firm grasp on what's going on usually with my car. The engine sounds great, still has a lot of power besides lagging a little between 80-90mph(2600-3000RPM in 4th). The TCS seems to have nothing to do with these problems, does it with it on or off. The transmission doesn't seem to be slipping or failing. When problem #2 isn't happening it has no problems accelerating AT ALL. It's still pretty fast for all the miles. Oh, not burning or leaking and fluids eithers. I have not tried cleaning the MAF yet, looks clean.

Oh, btw, am I supposed to have a 25amp fuse in the "Injector" slot in the main fuse box under the hood? One of the brown sqaure ones. I don't, but the car still runs. Not sure about that one......

Thanks ahead of time to anyone willing to read all of this!

Fuel pressure? ATF white towel comparison test?

Any maintenance history at all?

I don't have much info as far as maintnence history. I've been taking care of it for a just over a year now.

The previous owner took care of the motor, just not the body. I haven't tried looking at the ATF yet. Most likely could use some changing.

I have not checked the fuel pressure either. I'm gonna have it in to replace the starter soon anyway so i'll have the ATF and fuel checked out too.

Check the Knock Sensors (KS) and Throttle Postion Sensor (TPS). See http://Q45.org

Yes there is supposed to be a brown 25 AMP fuse for the injectors!

Before you start the car install one or pull it from the Power Window fuse circuit. You will not have Power windows, sun roof, door locks or seat controls (Auto Driver Positioner) till you find a replacement.
