They will probably put you on rollers and do the sniff test while it's at a set RPM.

It's the same here in Illinois. No your won't have to put your car on rollers or do any kind of sniff test. As long as the chassis is 95 or older you don't have to get tested at all.

That's what cool about it. You can put any engine you want in the bay. As long as you have turn signals, registration, seat belts, and other standard street legal equipment then you good to go. It's not like the Midwest is California. They don't care.

There are no emissions regulations in Indiana. They dont require any kind of tests or anything

I've had a couple OBDII cars and they don't test those either. I did have a cop question whether or not I had a cat when I accidentally blew a fireball in front of him. But as he was looking under the car I convinced him the resonator was a cat lol.

Indiana could be a lot like Virginia and Illinois. The state itself doesn't require emissions testing, but individual counties may require it. All of the counties in NOVA, as well as Richmond and the entire Hampton Roads area of Virginia test, as does Cook county in Illinois.

Looks like I may stand corrected. It looks like there is only two counties today which require testing in Indiana: Lake and Porter counties. Last time I had my emissions tested here was with my 2k2 Maxima in '06-07 but it seems it's not needed locally anymore.

Sorry OP, seems you are screwed up there. Not sure about your location but when they did testing here they would connect OBDII car's to a scanner and visually ensure the gas filler was not modified (like there is easy access to leaded gas or something) and use a mirror to make sure the car had cat's. Older cars were required to run on the drum for a sniffer test.
