ok i put a gt2871r on my sr..seems like its using mass fuel..idles high n sputters a lil..wont boost ovr 5lbs..seems like air leak but i checked all cuplinks on fmic..fine..spark plugs are black so ima get some new ones to c..anyone know wat could be causing this..im scared its gonna blow up or somethin..got all my money n life n this car...im outta money to keep goin back n forth to zerolift..got a wideband just need to hook it up....plz hlp n if anyone could plz call me or txt me that would be so much easier..thnxs.....names andrew 513 571 3886

Need to know injectors, MAF and exhuast manifold. And what are you using to tune it with. If i had to guess it sounds like a bad MAF or bad Vac leak.

stock injectors.maf,mani..im tryin to get ahold of a safc2 n i have a aem wideband just not on yet...is there a way to test for the bad maf of vac..i just put new spark plugs in it an that didnt change anythin..it idles at 9 then it seems like it chokes then raises to 1300 n sounds like its missn almost..

Buddy, be patient...wait for your safc2...you are now boosting more air then that fuel rail can keep up with....wait and do it right.If you boost to much you will run lean, which can be very expensive.Was the car working ok beofre the turbo swap

well my old turbo was pretty much locked up but i think the prob started then. i only drove it once when it did the high idle an runnin rrly rich n sluggish..i just thought it was cuz how bad my stock turbo was..it sat for couple months till i could get the gt2871r..did that n steel braided lines..same thin just figured ecu needed a chance to catch up..prolly drove bout 300 miles n no change so it sits again till i fugure it out..my dd so this rrly sucks..do u know anyone i can get a safc2 for 150shipped..this car has put my bank so damn low i cant stand it..

no i dont have a boost controller...its the stock actuatorit is bout 9lbs

im not sure if its running lean i do know its runnin rrly rich..zerolift told me as long as i dont up the boost id be fine till i do a tune n up the injectors..

Sounds like you messed up the vaccum routing. There will not be a problem with the bigger turbo making it idle like that. So ignore what the previous members said, you have a clear drivability/EFI concern. Double check your hoses. Make sure your maf is plugged in properly. The "bigger" turbo would not affect your idle/drivability problems.
