car died on freeway!

so i set the timing to 15btdc on my sr this morning and took it for a little test drive as it was running s***ty at high rpms due to the previous owner being a tard and didnt set the timing right. and it was pullin like a champ and then i hear the sound of doom! sounded like the turbo bearings gave and was flopping around in the housing. i dont thing the motor is blown cuz it starts still and will run but it idles around 400rpms. i am just guessing too though. the turbo did whine around 2000 rpms i noticed too before i set the time. any input at this point would be greatly apriciated. ive never blown a motor or owned a turbo car so im a noob at the sr but i did search but only found rb problems. idk help

take off your intake tube and spin your turbo

if it spins, time to check the engine for damage.

ok so turbo is good. it looks like it might of jumped time. it starts but barely runs.

you didnt pop an IC pipe off right?

dont tell me yes unless youve actually gone to CHECK.

the ic piping is all connected and tight. there is a pink dot on the crankshaft pully and my dad thinks the previous owner set it there. idk. i am gunna do a compression test to see if there is bent valves on my next day off. it should be around 150 correct?

ok guys so it has 140, 120,120,120 compression and thats kinda guessin cuz the compression tester wasnt holding. im gunna check spark when my dad gets back and maybe if we get around to it change the fuel filter. and ima change the fuel pump tomorrow. 225 ftw.

f*** man. this just happened to me about 30 minutes ago. my timming was way off as well and i just got it done about three days ago and know this s*** happens. i wasnt even on it. i just pulled on the the high way and next thing you know i wasnt getting any throttle responce. well if you figure out a solution please share.

set the motor to tdc, cam gears 10 and 12, the links matched up. put it all back together and turned the motor over by hand to makes sure no valves were gunna hit and stuff. then i go to start it and it siezed. the motor spun freely now it goes nowhere. must of spun a bearing and that was the whole reason for it dying. idk. grrr. im bummed out. gunna have to buy a cherry picker and an engine stand now.

that sucks brother. i noticed my fuel pump wasnt priming so i checked the fuse. luckly that was it. now i need to know why it blew while i was driving the car. but it runs perfect, just as before..
