hello, I'm new here, so i've been trying to read up on all the stickys and other topics on this forum, there's a lot of great info, but there are so many different set-ups, it's got me all confused... i have recently picked up a 95 S14 Auto for a daily driver. Then i decided that i wanted to turbo it. so now im putting a kit together. I'm looking to run it on the stock motor and the auto transmission... I understand that the transmission might die at any moment, so I'm prepared to do a 5spd swap, i gotta collect some parts fror that first though... So far, i've got a Garett T3 M27 turbo and a SSAC manifold... now I wanted to see what you guys thought about my costs and the parts that i have in mind...

Garett T3 and SSAC manifold --------- $250 2.5" downpipe and lower downpipe --------- $300 Intercooler piping made for S14 top Mount set up ----------- $300 370cc injectors ------ $70 OR should i run 550CC? Walbro 255 fuel pump with S14 kit ----- $100 Tapped oil pan ------ $100 Oil feed lines ------- $70 Intercooler core ------ ??? Software -------- ??? Z32 MAF ------ ??? Air filter set-up ---- ??? External wastegate ---- ???

Now i have come across a used S14 JWT ecu for my set-up, but its for a manual car. from what i've read, the ECUs are differnt for auto and manual cars. So spending $600 for JWT AUTO ecu and then having to buy a manual one when I do the 5spd swap doesnt make much sense... do I have any other options? Also, what side intercooler fits behind the stock bumper? I dont want to have to get a new bumper since I'm tyring to keep the costs down.... Please let me know if I'm missing any parts or anything like that, all suggestions welcome... thanks

One thing is that AT ECUs can be used on MT cars, pretty sure that still holds true even on JWT ECUs). So you can buy a tuned AT ECU and use it on either transmission.

Should be able to get a used oil pan and get a bung welded for cheaper than $100.

Hardest part will probably be the downpipe. I'd also say go ahead and do 2.75" or 3" downpipe so you don't have to do another one later down the road (and would be easier to sell if needed).

Would think Z32 MAFs are around $100.

Just get the filter you want and a metal tube for what size diameter and angle you need (ebay). Then couplers and T-bolt clamps. Depending on filter, $50+ for the entire filter setup.
