Hey guys help the noob out I have a question regarding the RHD, First I did research and i found what I need to know about RHD, but it still left me scratching my head.

---> Can you get an automatic S13 and do the Conversion and make it a complete 5 speed without the tricks to make it a 5 speed? (I mean by the wiring to get reverse light, the starter to work, ect....)--->To get the Firewall out do you just drill the spot welds and its out?

---> I haven't gotten a 240sx yet till I can find a good manual one or do the conversion with the automatic and of course all the the things I would need just to get the project started. I know that Its useless to do RHD but I want to learn something and I have the time and the cash to do it. One thing too is that I like to be different, I personaly havent seen any RHD here so it would be nice to build one.

Thanks for your time.

I don't think you can legally change your firewall; Your VIN is attached to that. Regardless of the side the steering wheel is on, the wiring is the same. My 180SX was auto and I had to do it too.

I would check your local laws. We have done several RHD conversions and though we state that it is for "off road use only" the customers have had no problems with law enforcement. But being in Florida, everything automotive is pretty much fair game.

You actualy can do it without tampering the vin. Check how this guy did it. zerothread?id=332562 , but I just wanted to know where you need to cut. I live here in vegas I' ve seen people who have rhd.

Years ago I had a Lotus Super 7 that was RHD. Great car but RHD was a total pain in the butt. You can't see around people to pass. You are the last one to know what is happening in front of the car in front of you. One of the biggest parts of accident avoidence is getting the big picture and seeing a long way ahead. I like things that look cool but I want them to work and RHD doesn't work well over here. You are already going to be lower than everyone else out there. You can't see over them and now you decide you don;t need to see around them either? Please give this some serious thought. There is a reason you can't buy them this way. It isn't practical or safe or fun when you can't see. Trust me, I have been there. The Super 7 was great fun but would have been much better if it were LHD.
