Acceleration issue, ka24de

I've been noticing something kind of strange lately. If I just remain at about 3500rpm for a few seconds and punch it, it's responsive, it goes.. but if I just punch it from wherever below 3500rpm and continue to give it throttle it's like the acceleration is in-and-out.

I'm thinking the fuel pump may be going out, because I figure that by just sitting at a certain rpm before accelerating that it's building up pressure, and losing it quite a bit under wot. I'm not really sure though
