I searched and did not find anything about the expected life of the OEM tires so I thought I would start a thread.

If you have replaced your OEM tires please tell us what brand since there are 2 brands that came on Rogues. Please also tell us how many miles you have logged on them.

I got just over 40,000 on the original set of Continental tires. I kept them rotated and I mainly drive on the highway otherwise it would have been much less.

The is a link in the official Rogue FAQ regarding All Season Tires:

There isn't a whole lot of selection based on the OEM tire size. Many of them are touring type tires so do not expect good off-road or high performance. I have driven on a few of them albeit in different vehicles:

Continental 4x4 Contact and Touring Contact:

I have far too many issues with Continental's offerings to recommend them to anyone. First off, they have horrible tread life and Continental does not offer a tread wear warranty on any of their products. Secondly, the tires have poor wet/snow performance when worn.

Kumho Solus KH16:

A good 3 season tire. Quiet, smooth. This is definitely not a snow tire though. They are very inexpensive and make a decent choice for summer tires or areas that do not see much snow.

Michelin Harmony:

A decent all season touring tire. Quiet and comfortable. Snow performance when new is pretty decent for an all season.

Goodyear Tripletred:

Advertised as an all season with good winter performance. My experience has shown they are extremely noisy.

Yokohama Avid TRZ:

Although I have not pruchased them, several Rogue owners have been impressed by them. They seem to be the overwhelming favorite here.

Just replaced the Continentals at 43,700 miles with Goodyear Triple Tred. The TT worked great in this last 12" of snow.

The OEM Continentals tires are garbage after about 20,000 miles. Don't blame Nissan, I've seen these tires on Toyotas, Subarus and Govt Motor vehicles as well.

The VW Tiguan was a couple of thousand more, but it offered a few extra features like a much better stereo, heated seats and much better tires. The one I looked at had Hankook tires which are much better than Conti's.

I would still choose the Rogue however.

I replaced the Contis at 28,000 miles and replace them with Michelin Harmony tires. The Contis handled fine but did not last too long. I live in an area of country roads and some small mountains. Also, I changed early with winter coming on. Good thing, we have had a snow filled winter here in southern Virginia. The FWD Rogue did fine in the snow as long as it wasn't too deep.

I've got the Dunlops and I'm quite happy with them.

I'm at about 45000 km, and I'd say there is easily 40-60% tread left on them. This has included a reasonable amount of dirt road mileage.

Great dry traction, decent wet/snow traction, and great lifespan. Very happy, and fortunate.

Thanks to you guys, I opted out of the Conti's when I purchased my 2009 Rogue I had great exprerience with Nokian tires on my Titan and Altima so I went with the Nokian SUV WRs. I've got over 10000 miles on them now and they still look new. They are great in the snow and ride well on the highway. They're the way to go.
