This thing is so impossible to find.. Mine has finally broken completely, and I cannot even use the window. Everything electrical wise works except the button itself

Unfortunately, the pin combo/wire combo is different from any other model, so that rules that out

Any alternatives? Lol

Same thing happened to mine I think. The passenger window won't go down unless I do it from the driver side.

Maybe the contact inside the switch assembly broke. Did you try swapping the switch out already?

If nothing else works and you still want one you can always get one from courtesyparts.com for $236 (driver side power window/lock switch)

that's a dealer part with a design that was only utilized for one production year. it's the '95 model year's only flaw.

Eeesh. I'd just tear the thing apart and attempt a DIY fix at that rate!

Damn. When I was looking for my car every 240 in my local classifieds had a bad power window switch. Can no one order food at a drive-thru anymore??

Hahaha ... well, worth a shot anyway. Besides, you're probably just like me in that we love taking things apart just to see what's inside ... in other words, for the heluvit!

You may not like the price man, but that's what I saw when I looked it up today on courtesyparts.com. In fact all the S14 driver side switches are that price, and they vary from zenki to kouki as well as from base to se models. Taking it apart may work, idk, never tried. Mine is on its way out as well.

That kind of price is robbery. I could refit the car with manual windows for less! Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a time when everything Made In Japan was cheaper?

if you diy it. take apart the switch. then take the rocker part of the switch off, you will see inside it there is a spring and a white piece of plastic. the white plastic rides inside a glide. a part of that glide breaks off. i have not found a way to fix the glide. good luck

Not saying that I couldn't be wrong, but as per courtesyparts.com all the different models have individual part numbers. That is a 95 is not the same as a 96, and neither is the same as a 97-98(which are the same part#).

As you can see here:http://www.courtesyparts.com/kb_search_ ... _3727_3731

The difference that I noted is the final digit in the part number, 25401-S1400x (1-6 depending the model and trim level)

At any rate, it doesn't change the fact that the OP doesn't want to spend this kind of money on a window switch (and I don't blame him), just pointing out what I observed.

THANKS FOR ALL THE RESPONSES

<3

Yes, $236 is outrageous. I guess i will keep checking on the classifieds and so forth.

A 1995 is different from all the rest =(

Thanks for giving information about the item taken apart. I wish there was a way to fix it. Thanks all.

also i think the 98ish pathfinder has the same switch rocker that would work. i have not confirmed this but when i head out to the junk yard again i will. and subaru's use the same looking switch's as nissan's. like my friends 01 2.5 rs. just throwing it out there.
