Im new to this... i have some questions!

Ok I bought a Steel Gray 1.8SL the week after they hit the us so back in may i guess.... I havent seen anything extraordinary on the customizing end of the scale around here. I really want some ideas not cheap but not way expensive either on possible accessories or anything else that anyone might think its unique. Im thinking White wheels possibly? on steel gray? What do you think? and what are good brands etc? Ive never really done the whole car customization thing but im in LOVE with my cube! also im really wanting a RUBIX CUBE sticker for my back window (im a little off the wall and random at times and i just think that would be the cutest thing ever!!!) let me know of anywhere i could start to look for accessories or what not and also my cube is automatic is there any way i can change that DANG KNOB? ITS SO UGLY!!!!!!! if so where might one find a better looking one! Thank yall in advance!

look around for the shift knob that you like first....
momo
sparco
razo
nrg

or much more out there...

i think iwas talking about this not long ago on the other forum...about which shift knob suits the best for the cube...razo comes with a very good variety of adaptors for almost any kind of car out there....nrg is bit helpful and the rest is kinda hard unless you have a hardware in your garage

i heard the shift knob is pretty much pressured down on the stick so im guessing twisting and pulling will eventually make it pop off

im not sure exactly what you envision with your cube or what type of mods are you into...you may like some thing or you may not like some other things like small wheels, big wheels, chrome wheels, colored wheels, jdm or average

lowering springs or no lowering

there,s a lot of us here with lot of potential and lots of diferent mods check us all out and maybe will help you determine what will your next mod will be...good luck with the cube

Thanks..... Im really just wanting to make it unique to me is all and i havent seen many modifications so i really dontk know what i wanna do. Do you know where i might be able to find some white wheels? I want to keep them the same size as they are now i just want something i little more intriguing for the eye lol that sounds so crazy i just dont want my cube to look like everyone elses. I love everyones cube on here they have done just what they wanted and indeed made the cube "THEIR" own. Thanks again for the suggestions!

Well congrats on your Cube purchase. It's really an awesome car and I'm just like you, wanting to make my car different and unique than others. As far as accessories, I found these unique shag styled things for the car, for places like the rearview mirror, seatbelt, steering wheel cover, and fuzzy dice. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just check out this website from where I found and bought mine:

(Just click on Shag at the top)

I'm still looking for others things for my car, stuff I can at least afford right now lol. Good luck on finding other parts and accessories. You'll definitely be able to tell your Cube apart from others!

I've done XM radio, Weather Tech floor mats (awesome), and Dynamat in mine. Just simple but good "mods" if you want to consider them like that. I'd recommend all three. Im putting an Infinity 10" in soon. So I've pretty much done interior stuff.

For performance mods, check out Tein, Stillen, Tanabe and I think there's a few others for cold air intakes, lowering springs, and braces. Check out Team ATI's and Damein666robin's Cube, type their usernames in the search bar or search the pages on here for their build thread.

Welcome to NiCO!

Grats on your new ride. I have had mine 2 weeks and told myself I wouldn't mod it for a bit as I have a project I just dropped 3K into......needless to say in 2 more weeks the fun starts. Look on YouTube, there are some sick vids of JDM Second Gen Cubes, though some of the stuff we can't do on the third, some good ideas.

You could get your factory grill color matched. Seen a few people do it and they look great!

White wheels on steel gray? hmmmmm I'm not too sure on that. Depends on the wheels really. You could always get your factory wheels painted. Otherwise you will just have to search around the net. bolt pattern 4x114.3
