need help with headlights please?

hey my name is david and i just recently bought a 94 nissan sentra se-r 5 speed for $600 runs great and everything i was just wondering that im looking at a pair of APS HID ligts for my sentra and my brother was saying i need to ask someone on here if ill need to get new headlight housings or will they fit they're called APS H4's and they're the 10000k's can someone please help me out?

If your car normally takes H4 for high/low beam then they will work. I would stay away from the 10k ones tho' and take something with more light output - maybe 6k. Not only for the better light but also avoiding the cops!!!

is it illegal to have the 10k or 12k ones cause idk im new to cars really i just bought my fisrt car which is the b-13 and ive also got a 86 900 ninja like off top gun lol but i really dont kno anything about cars so i need all the help i can get lol

I believe all HID conversion kits in a HALOGEN housing (without a proper projector retrofit) are illegal but most people don't really care and do it anyway. Putting blue/purple lights on your car will just attract more attention.

oh ok thanks man and do you happen to kno where i could find out what housing size my lights are? cause like i said im new to cars i was delivering a pizza one night at work and seen the b-13 and went the next day to look at in and it was in perfect shape idk who had it but it only has 73k on the meter when i bought it so it runs awesome.

yea i thought it was a good deal too, and idk my brother was saying something about the housing size cause he's got a 91 240sx and he bought some 6k's and they dont fit his headlight housing and he said now he's gotta spend about $100 each on the headlights housings then he's gotta drill the holes out bigger just so they'll fit so in all spending $500 on all that stuff just doesnt really seem worth it all to me espcially the way the economy is right now lol

The HID bulbs are a little longer than a halogen bulb but there should be enough clearance in the front of the lens for them to fit anyway. You will have to take a look at the part where the base of the bulb fits into the housing - that's where it might give trouble depending on how it's made up. Maybe someone with similar car/headlights can answer your question better. Good luck....
