B16 '07 Sentra SL stock suspension w/ new rim upgrade question
8:03 PM 2/6/2010
I'm thinking of upgrading to 17 or 18" new Enekei rims and Hankook Ventus tires this spring. Does anyone have pictures of a B16 on 18" rims with stock suspension? I'm curious to see how much gap will there be and if it would look silly. Would larger rims damage the stock suspension or struts? This is my first car and first time buying rim & tires so any suggestion is appreciated. Thx.

Anything more then an 18" is pushing it with stock suspension.
Pretty much what's gonna happen is your car will be lifted the same up as the amount of rim your going up or down by. So if you get a 2" bigger rim, your car is gonna sit about 2" higher. The gap also depends on the thickness of the tire. Wehter be lowprofile, or standard, or larger.
Here is a pic of my "friends" 2007 2.0L sentra with 17"s.

the gap looks gross.
when i put my 18's on i immediately lowered it with the eibach sportlines because that gap looks horrendous/makes the sentra look like a 4x4 lol.
rims + lowering = fantastic overall improvement on the look of the car, IMO.
07 Nissan Sentra 2.0S, Super Black Lowered (Eibach sportline springs), Stillen Front Lip, Stillen Full catback Exhaust, stillen hi flow intake, debadged, blacked out tailights, 30% tinted windows, 8000K HID's and matching fog lights plus matching license plate illuminators, blue led lighted interior, blacked out grill....18 inch konig 'again 4' rims wrapped in neo gen nitto tires
Thanks guys for the info. I need wheels & tires first since spring is coming and probably shouldn't use the winter tires for too long. I'll see if I can lower the car with Ebirach sportline springs maybe later in the summer after I've saved up.
Debating between the 215/40-18 or 225/40-18 size for the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tire. What do you guys suggest on the Enkei Enkei FLC-01 Silver Machined?
The price is a little more expensive on the 215/40-18 but if they are better tires, I don't mind paying a little more for them.
Use a tire size calculator, figure out which of those is going to keep your rolling diameter closest to stock. Pick that one.
Hankooks are decent tires. 280 treadwear is reasonable for a UHP. I have BFG G-Force Sports on my MCS and have been pretty pleased thus far (since late July).
^+1 on BFG g-force tires had a 16 inch set on my b13 sentra and now are on my parents 91 bmw 318i convert, they wear great and have really good all around traction
