So this car has power everything, and everything works; Except the two front windows.

Neither sides control will open the windows, yet the master switch will operate all functions except opening the the two front windows.

Anyone have any idea what I look into for this?

thanks,doug

Since the rear power windows are working, then the related fuses/circuit breaker and BCM (Body Control Module) should be good. The problem can be narrowed down to defective control switch (LC01 for driver side,; LC02 for pax side); harness or the window regulator.

You can pull out the control switch assembly to check for power. To remove the control switch, use a clot-covered common blade screw drive and pry it off from the front (pawl is in front, hook on the rear). With window switch selected to Up/Down, there must be 12VDC on Pin 11 of the connector. If there is no power, switch is defective. If there is power and window is not moving, then it could be the harness or the window regulator (and it's built-in thermal breaker).

loystock is probably right, but looking at EL-199 I just noticed that both front switches ground (pin 16) back thru the harness, since 'both' switches are off together, that's a possibility. Check all connections on both switches, and maybe track grounds (by colors) if conns are OK??

I did some tests using the information you provided and the Green and Blue wires at the connection where the window motor meets the control module are both getting rite around 12v with the drivers side switch set to open/close. This leads me to believe the motor is simply junk, and the other side must be as well. I'm curious what your thoughts are on this. Also whether you think I should get the motor+regulator or just the motor, whichever makes the replacement easier.

thanks,

As always, verify part is defective before replacing it. I normally use OEM parts (usually from Infiniti of Scottsdale) but it's your call whether to go for OEM or aftermarket parts. I've seen aftermarket window regulators @ $45 (with motor) at Amazon. Another site sell window regulator w/o motor for @ $35. I'm not sure about the quality though.

Refer to the link below on how to remove the door trim (BT-19) and window regulator installation (BT-11 & 12)
