So recently with all the rain we've had here in AZ we've had some flooding.
Combine that with an irrespnsible driver (wifey) and you have a nice infiniti M45 drving through about a foot of water.
Combine that with a recent check engine light and you get 2 dead O2 sensors.
Combine that with me and you get - Holy Crap this car really hauls butt!
I don't know what it is, but ever since the check engine light came on my car feels 10 times better. It's really only noticable in the lower revs - and even the wifey has told me it drives better with the check engine light on so it's not just me!
With UpRev we can turn off those codes so I don't have the light on the dash anymore, but this forces the engine to run on our set tuned values with no correction coming from the ECU in any way/shape/or form.
My tuner thinks that the O2 sensors were probably going bad and could have been giving the ecu wrong values for adjustment durring part throttle driving.
If you don't care about your check engine light being on - disconect the rear O2 Sensors and drive around and see if it gives you the same feeling.
Keep in mind this can cause serious damage to your catalytic converters and/or engine so you'd be doing this at your own risk and I am not liable for any damages or warranty denial caused by this advise.
Use this as a diagnostic tool only to identify faulty O2 sensors - or replace them without disconnecting them and driving around.
