Hi if Supra gearbox and R34 GTR box are internally same, is it possible to swap bell housing from gtr to supra box to get it working? Dont know Supra clutch, etc but im going to use OS Giken twin plate, so it might be easier to sort clutch combination.

You could use a supra transmission if you had a bell housing adapter and it could physically fit in a S chassis. But..... those Trannys are also crazy expensive .

Yes i know, maybe I will have a chance to get one cheaper, but I'd like if somebody knows if R34 GTR bell housing fits that box, it would be easier to do this way, instead of cutting and welding adapter.

To my knowledge a bell housing adapter was a bolt on piece. I've never used one though. Your other problem might be the tail housing length mixed with the gtr bell housing and adapter.

Why don't you try to Google some pics of a supra trans and compare it to your GTr bell.

What exactly are you doing in what chassis?

I'v got s13 race prepped, fully caged chassis and I'm going to put built RB20DET with T3/T4, trying to get about 400 hp on engine, now im deciding what transmission should I use. 20 transmission seems too weak for use of the car as endurance track car or ocassionally hill climb. I'm deciding from 1) RB25 transmission 2) RB26 moded. transmission 3) supra getragI'm preparing my new RB26/30 engine what is going to be evolution for next year

for the time and money you'll be spending on that cluster of a transmission... I could get you into a billet dog box.

last i heard r34 getrag is awd not rwd and impossible top find, the supra is entirely to expensive, and does not bolt up, like i think the splines on input shaft dont line up or something this is just something i heard or read somewhere idk its just stuck in my head, i do know that supra trans is hard to fit though or ellse everyone would use them

People have gotten the R34 6sp to work with RWD conversions.

Supra transmission = $$$ so as with most things, that probably accounts for more people not using it.

+1 on it being physically too big though.

Any more info on the dog boxes? RB25 dog boxes or just using Z32 with the RB bellhousing?

How do you make the GTr transfer work Rwd.Then how do you fit it, without cutting up the firewall and trans tunnel.

Look up that R14 swap.Even with a R32 gts the tunnel is still smaller.
